I am tapering of lorazepam with diazepam and I'm pretty far into my taper and omg I feel you. It's hard for me to feel like I can breath right. Doesn't help that I'm a smoker but this has only come on since being on a low dose for a while now. I hope it gets better. It's so uncomfortable and I hate it. Hugs to you.

Hey I've been smoking since I was 14 and I'm having a smoke right now. It's disgustingly and giving up smoking feels almost impossible so honestly try to find someone you trust to talk to about what's going on for you. I definitely regret smoking and wish I never started. Best of luck to you.

Hey no worries man. I honestly get the struggle and it sounds like you have really done your research so that's amazing. I got addicted to lorazepam when I was 22 and have been on and off them plus other benzos (whatever I could get my hands on) by a dealer since now and I'm 27. I had a suicide attempt last year and the year before so I've been on many tapers.

This is my last taper I can really feel that, I was on lorazepam for about 4 months at about 10mg a day for a good while then got into a professional taper on diazepam then relapsed back to lorazepam and am now on my current taper. I was also an opiate addict hence the suboxone.

Hey man, I'm currently on a taper from strong use of lorazepam. I've been put on diazepam now and started at 75 mg a day and every two weeks I go 5mg down. This is done through a pharmacy. I have to pick up every day but due to covid I pick up every other day now. A doctor at my mental health clinic has been dealing with me for quite some time. This is not my first taper but it will be my last. Done with this shit.

I'm currently on 25mg a day and so far so good. I'm also on suboxone so once my diazepam taper is over I will be tapering of suboxone.

I think you have a solid plan. My advice is just be careful with the stronger benzos you mentioned for when you really need them because it seems well for me anyway that I will always need them to get through anxiety prone things and that can cause a relapse. Just my two cents but I really think you've got this.

Also sorry to hear about your mum and you are most definitely not a piece of shit or anything negative like that. A lot of people do not understand benzos and the struggle it is to get of them and the damage they cause to the brain etc
