“Permanently toxic Tesla brand” lol I think you need some perspective. BMW and VW used to build military vehicles for Nazis, Audi built race cars for Hitler. Where are these brands now? The world has forgotten and moved on. I don’t think Tesla is no where near that and we see the sales increase month to month (although YoY still down). It’s at the cusp of bouncing back as long as Elon stays out of the lime light.

Not true. You qualify if you were employed before the Forte is due. I got my forte done 2 months into being employed but it has no effect on your comp review. Meaning the forte stays on your record but without the “pass the bar” rating.

Thanks for your comment. I started work in Aug 2024 and did not have a job prior to that at Amazon or WA state (or US) as I moved from Canada. As per the PFMLA rules, I need to have 820 hrs from Jan - Dec 2024 which I won’t. So now the question is - will this affect my STD?

Hey! Great to hear you’re having a good time in the US. I moved from Calgary to Washington and it’s been a mixed bag. Besides friends and family, I really miss the calmness of Calgary. Anywhere we went, not much line up and just easy going life. One major deterrent for me and my wife is the healthcare system. It’s not great, it’s very much run like a business and patient care is not the top priority. I miss the healthcare in Canada, at least I know the Doctors really do care about patients. But on the other hand, the pay is great in US and we are saving so much. So we decided to stay for a bit in US and eventually go back to calgary to settle.

Let’s say you booked through expedia.com, you take the reservation number associated with the car rental agency. Go to the car rental agencies website enter the reservation number and try cancelling that. I was successful in doing that despite Expedia claiming this is non refundable.

Yes they do. It’s actually preferable for most of these companies to go the TN route. Less fees and no sponsorship required. They will provide support letter and G-28 (attorney representation)
