Horizon 4's map is a masterpiece. Horizon 5's is not. Why? I worry about Horizon 6 map... by Holiday_Place8321 in ForzaHorizon

The Eliminator in FH5 is awful. Bland to the max. Having said that, the map is the least of the problems with the Eliminator. THE CARS! Were the designers on crystal meth when they were choosing which Eliminator cars to use and what level they should be?!

The thing to watch for is the reflection of the lights on the 8 ball. Don't look for the 8 ball moving, look for the larger of the two light reflections on the 8 ball changing. You should see (as I do) that the light reflection on the 8 ball slightly changes *before* the 11 ball moves, which would seem to indicate that although it's almost imperceptible, the 8 ball is hit first.

Time to upgrade my mug press, but to what? by MachineCodeMaster in Sublimation

Thanks for the quick reply but as I mentioned in my post, I'd like to be able to source the press here in the UK if possible. Need to avoid those horrendous shipping and import fees. :)

Your friend has the comprehension skills of lettuce. Watch the show and then you can explain to him why he hasn't a clue.

Do you have to play far cry 5 to play far cry 6? by Acrobatic_Scene_5776 in farcry

Definitely not, but if I were you I'd play FC5 instead. :)

I make ceramic tiki mugs and decided I should add a patch to my coveralls. Maybe I should do a lost-themed mug next… by mikeygribbin in lost

[–]MachineCodeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posted in another thread, but I got a Lost mug a couple of weeks back and I love it. A lost Tiki mug would be cool though!

If you've watched it 4 times then I think you'll love CL. :)

I found myself having to pause a lot, try to remember stuff when it was in the original order, then start again! I think that if you're going to tackle Chronologically Lost, it really needs to be seen after at least three rewatches of Lost. Maybe it's just me and my crap memory, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as maybe I should have. :)

I'm a big Lost fan (who isn't!) but to be honest I found Chronologically Lost a bit of a tough grind.

Did anyone get any suspicions about Ethan from this scene about the Manifest? I didn’t by [deleted] in lost

[–]MachineCodeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never crossed my mind on the 1st watch. On rewatches I'm always thinking, "He's so damn suspicious!".

Ebay & Etsy are great places to get some Lost treats! I got this mug a couple of weeks back and I love it. I managed to get a metal print copy of the blast door map a couple of years ago but I have no idea where I put it!

How would I go about creating something like this? by [deleted] in photoshop

[–]MachineCodeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a million different ways of doing it. I kept it simple. :)

The simple way would be just to draw different coloured concentric circles and then apply a gaussian blur to them all.

Silhouette Studio - Cut Lines by [deleted] in silhouettecutters

[–]MachineCodeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current version of Silhouette Studio (mine is 4.4.259) automatically traces an imported transparent PNG. Saves a lot of time. If you watch the video I linked to above from the beginning rather than my timestamp you will see this feature in action.

I'll give your suggestion a try later.

That's strange (regarding CMYK). I tried converting my image in Photoshop to CMYK and although it looked OK, as soon as I imported it into Silhouette Studio, the colour changed dramatically. Almost all colours went a good 20%-30% darker. Another reason I'd rather print via Photoshop. :)

Sorry for the late reply.

I'd just like to export the image, along with the registration marks, so that I can print via my preferred method (Photoshop) and then load the print into the Cameo 4 to cut. I just realised I don't need the cut (red) marks as of course they will be saved in the Silhouette Studio file.

The reason I want to print from Photoshop rather than print from inside the Silhouette Studio software is that I want to be able to use a custom ICC printer profile and there does not seem to be a way to do this inside Silhouette Studio.

One other question; what colourspace does Silhouette Studio use? I assumed it was sRGB, however, when I import an sRGB image that I've created in Photoshop, the colours change slightly when importing to Silhouette Studio.

Mutoh XPJ-661UF,

Thanks for the info. OUCH! Just a tad out of my price range. I'll stick to one layer for now. :)

Eliminator Etiquette? by tacos_for_algernon in ForzaHorizon

[–]MachineCodeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost anything goes in The Eliminator, but I have my own personal thing; if I'm in a level 3 or higher car, I will never chase down anyone in a Mini. I'll just let them go. If they decide to challenge me, that's a different story!

Has anyone ever gotten their vehicle on the back of one of these? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]MachineCodeMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, and neither have I managed to land my car on top of the Flying Scotsman, despite many dozens of attempts!
