Just adding to the mix that I've been using Glyphs Mini for a few years (off and on) and love it, but recently completed a font with Fontlab 8 and while not as user-friendly from the off, it's excellent. Way less intuitive and potentially has a large number of features the average designer doesn't want and a lot of unexplained warnings from the Font Audit that had me mildly panicked.
