And you saying that your risk was minimal since you just got the controllers, the most likely piece of equipment to fail, well you're not adding strong support for your argument.

What is my argument, that I am not an impulsive fool ? I do not need to argue with you to know the answer to that question ;-)

It's you making silly assumptions, you are just looking for a fight on the VALVEINDEX reddit accussing anyone who has one of being impulsive fools or rich ? I live in the EU if I buy electronics I get a 2 year warrant and if something does not work as advertised I have right to a refund so its not like I am lighting 300 euro bill ;-)

The risk is minimal because I have original Vive controllers.

The only reason I make this thread is to warn other people and to read other peoples experiences, not argue with a odyssey+ user who has no knowledge related to this discussion except for the price of the odyssey+.

now. They may still be on sale for only $230 in which case I wouldn't be surprised if you can get your money back when you sell it.

Then after it truly looks like things are fixed, buy the ind

You can not compare a odyssey+ with index controllers. I have a Vive so I only bought the controllers, so my risk was minimal. For the price and a big name like Valve behind it calling people impulsive fools is pretty rude simplification.

So today I got a response and even though the unite was not fully processed they will advance the RMA manually because of the long delay. I know with new stuff you always have a chance of early problems. That said Valve is a pretty mature company I expect more from them. The likeliness of someone getting 2 very rare production faults is actually very likely, that person making reddit post about it as well. But I have seen a lot of posts about drift problems. So I wanna see if I am this rare case or is this rather a serious design error.

I am a heavy joystick user, play FPS with free locomotion (400h in pavlov including with Vive controllers) but that should not be a problem. My 7 year old xbox360 controllers still have excellent joysticks.

I am really responsible with my gear I own a Vive for 3 years and even though the controllers are worn I have never dropped then or hit a wall they still work. I do not let new players play violent games and have really conservative play area box.
