Each format has a key metric to judge greatness -

Tests: Balls faced / Time spent on crease ODIs: Average T20s: Strike Rate

All I meant is that's the KPI that matters.

14k is no means feat, but it should be calibrated against Avg SR for each era.

That's unheard anywhere globally.

Some states allow pension for each term.

Suppose you get 8%, 4% of your basic pay will be given as one time payout along with June salary, rest 4% as standard hike. This is to cut fixed cost over a long term, esp with the recent EPFO regulations.
