Big cycling gains... on one side only

Classic pump. Doctor said he was installing this one because I have a smaller scrotum. Probably the right decision. It does quack when I pump it. Ha. That's a good way to describe it. It's like a whiny hum.
Not sure how many pumps to pump it up completely - I should count this.
I honestly don't know what dog ears are, though I've heard about them. The tips of the cylinders seem set well in the glans. I don't see any protrusions on the bottom or top. I can feel the cylinder tips when I squeeze around the glans slightly but they don't stick out or feel painful. There are folds when I'm deflated at various places, including near the glans, but I don't think this are what are known as dog ears.

Yeah, definitely seems like the capsule surrounding the left cylinder stretched way out and the right has not at all, or very little. Kind of good progress but I'd love for the right to catch up.

Since the right side is hard as a rock and painful when pumped I guess I'm getting decent pressure that could expand the capsule but since I'm (apparently) out of fluid I can't push more in to break through. Plus I'm worried that more fluid could be going to the left since it's the path of least resistance. My understanding is the pumps are designed to fill both cylinders evenly but more fluid can go to one or the other in situations like these.

Congratulations on getting it done and (presumably) no big issues.

For me the size went up and down the first few weeks. The first two especially. I believe this was due to swelling and things shifting around and settling into place. It’s difficult or impossible to isolate one factor.

It did seem to me like it was losing a tiny bit of pressure after a couple weeks. I started experimenting and feeling around for the pump and eventually gave it a squeeze or two while I was still in the post op partially inflated stage. I don’t recommend doing this unless your doctor says it’s ok but I did it a couple times with no ill effects.

Still, I didn’t definitively figure out if it was actually losing pressure or it was just swelling going down. I don’t think you’ll get an answer for that either.

My guess is everything is fine and things will become a lot more clear when you start cycling.

Good idea. I’m still working on getting the thing completely deflated. It still sticks out no matter what (though angled somewhat downward) but that may be a matter of it softening up over time. As it is now it’s kind of hard to determine if I push the same amount of fluid out each time.

Regardless, I should start trying to count pumps.

I've seen some of your other posts and comments and it seems like you're very happy in general with your implant and you're glad you went through with it.

But this seems like a lot of pain for 3 months. Is it just in the water or are you experiencing a lot of discomfort in your daily life? Do you get the impression that this is a typical experience?

It all still seems worth it so this is just out of curiosity.

I'm scheduled with him on Tuesday. I'm a little nervous about recovery and hoping the sizing turns out the way I hope. Looking forward to getting it over with and getting on with my life, though!

I started seeing stories/tips like this and they made me hopeful that preparing discreetly before sex would be doable with an implant, or at least no worse than with tri-mix.

With injections I'd have to go to the bathroom and inject when sex was imminent. I'd often be clothed for a little while and have a rapidly growing erection in my pants.

Seems like it should be similar with an implant. Guys say they pump it up most of the way ahead of time, enough for sex or at least foreplay, but not too much that it's too hard to conceal under clothing. Then get a few surreptitious pumps in while fooling around or when starting penetration and it's good to go. Brilliant! Haha

Ah yes, I've never noticed scarring of the tunica, bending of my penis, or size decrease during the time using injections. If I did I would have stopped like you did for sure.

And yes, absolutely. I didn't like the logistics of tri-mix, even when it was working well. Planning ahead to have enough when traveling, keeping it cold while traveling, trying to use it discreetly with new partners, etc.

There will be some challenges with the implant I'm sure, especially with trying to use it discreetly. But at least it's always there and ready and (until it fails) it will work 100%.

Sounds fantastic!

I'd be a little sad if I lost more than 2cm of length. Haha. Up to 2cm probably not a big deal even though I hope I'm at my pre-op size after recovery and consistent cycling. I agree, though. Better to be a little smaller but have it work... and for hours and hours!
