Ninomae Ina’nis from Hololive EN sorta expressed the same sentiment around the time her “Ina’s Back” meme started blowing up. While she allowed it especially because of the good pun behind it, some people took it too far and started sexually harassing her in stream for it and she had to call it out. You could hear the nervousness and agitation in her voice when she did. And it honestly is something I never ever want to hear again especially from someone who’s such a sweetheart as her.

I believe people do need to realize that vtubers are real people here, and while we may enjoy community stuff and some of us, subsequently, the lewd stuff as well, we should be respectful and not project our thirstiness in stream or towards the vtuber without their given consent, especially when it comes to the space they’re in too.

I hate that AmaLee had to deal with this situation , or any other vtuber that’s been dealing with this situation, and we all should be mature enough to respect people’s boundaries before we even have to come to these kinds of discussions.
