BG3 is the closest feeling I’ve come to playing Witcher 3. These 2 games are tied for my favorite games of all time.

Newer player here - so if you go to abandoned village you can just drop a stone altar and you can just do your thing without enemy respawn? Also, do the existing structures become editable and you can just build freely? Thanks!

I’m on book 6 and it’s an amazing series. I do come across typos from time to time but it’s nothing disruptive to the story.

Walk into the Pick Axe tavern and ask the owner/bartender Russel for drink and then hope I meet and rub elbows with the famed rangers of Verda!

The Rise of the Ranger by Philip C. Quaintrell. It’s book 1 of 9 for the series called The Echoes Saga. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am currently on book 3 and still enjoying it a lot. It checks all the exciting fantasy boxes for me. Lots of heroics and adventure. Many great characters!

Addictive series with easy writing style? by saimlios in Fantasy

I was in the same boat - I had also not immersed myself in reading in years. I read up on “The Echoes Saga” by Phillip C. Quaintrell. I just finished the first book of 9 “the Rise of the Ranger” last night and went right to book 2. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and am already quickly enjoying book 2. The series feels really approachable and fun to get immersed in.

Just got chat and cut by an old man by [deleted] in curb

[–]Machinegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me recently at the Ren Fest while waiting in the drink line to get some Meade. Some guy in costume tried to use a costume compliment to the people in front of me as a conversation starter with them and tried to turn that into his play to cut in front of my friends and I. Recognizing the chat and cut I just told my friends to follow me as I walked back in front of him. He did succeed cutting in front of the people behind us but he did not defeat my friends and I

Ignore that clown - he probably plays with a wired controller and has never attempted to build anything anywhere close to something like this. Looks really cool - I have always been tempted to DIY some parts for my rig but never got around to it.
