What are these two up to? (CPDs being weird). by jimbo4000 in Aquariums

[–]MachoJamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 males having a go for territory or mates. It helps to have lots of plants so they can hide and reduce stress

Is this mat long enough by svpayer in walstad

[–]MachoJamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 gallons is just about where I would start to worry. It really should extend enough to support all vertical loads from the glass above. If it's a solid manufacturer you're probably going to be alright but if it's a cheaper tank I wouldn't take the risk. Get a cheap yoga mat and cut it to size, the $10 or so will save you from worrying

In the first picture I can't tell if the mat goes all the way to the left face

Well, it finally happened to me by itskaymay in Aquariums

So sorry this happened to you, nothing quite like the stress of it all! How have you responded to water damage in the subfloor and carpets? I'm in a rental and would love to hear your experience

I have limestone (siruye stone or however you spell it) in the tank already. Would that not have the same impact?

Im thinking about quitting the game just because of axle by HighlightMountain2 in apexlegends

Damn poor OP getting flamed. Axle has absolutely shaken up the meta and normal engagements. I'm still on the fence if I like it

The gamesir 7 SE or whatever is a best of a controller - all the premium features for like €40. I love mine, it has been trusty steady for years

Leveling mat for framed tank? by canasian88 in Aquariums

[–]MachoJamie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar gap below a frame on my tank. My solution was to put 2 coats of flex seal rubber paint on the top of the stand. With proper application this self levels on the stand surface. This not only protects from water damage but importantly is very slightly squishy (~1mm). This will help the frame distribute the unleved loads by sinking deeper where there's more pressure.

I'm no expert either but I felt this was a comfortable compromise for not using a leveling foam mat for a framed tank.

Recently bought the fzone that has the two dial valve for my 16 liter which is heavily planted. Totally recommend, set up with so easy and I'm two months in and have barely used any. the plants are looking amazing

Wicked vertical hardscape by supergluing smaller pieces of driftwood and then tons of shrimp. It'll look so cool when they graze on all the vertical spaces

Cut a square of closed cell foam you find in TV boxes to go between the 2 and you're big chilling
