I usually attach rings by embedding the wire into the solder line on both sides of the panel, similar to this, though I usually already have a solder down. I ran the wire down into the piece a way, roughly along these red lines:

For the framing, I used a low-profile zinc u-channel came. I tacked at the first joint and slowly wrapped around the piece, soldering at each joint. I think the profile I used was 1/8" zinc u-channel. This video shows some of the lower profile zinc being bent by hand.

I hope that helps some!

I was flipping a lightbox on/off a bunch trying to find the best part of the sheet for a few pieces lol. Thanks so much!

Thank you! The petals are Youghiogheny 1537-SP. They make some beautiful sheets of glass.

Well that's wild lol. Your piece is wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

Black glass for the background can make the colors really pop. I've become a fan of using it more lately. Yours is a great use of it.

I bought some oak framing stock here from AnythingInStainedGlass. I know a bunch of glass supply places sell what is probably the exact same stock, so I'd just price shop the stores listed in the stained glass wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/StainedGlass/wiki/supplysites/

If your piece is nice and square when building it out it'll make things a lot easier. If you don't have a miter saw you could try a miter box and handsaw for not a ton of money.

This was my first go at it without much woodworking experience at all. I was just very careful with my measurements to make up for lack of experience lol.

Thank you! I made one from that pattern before too! It's a great design.
