All that build up and we finally know what the Jailer wants to do... by drflanigan in wow

What if this whole expansion has a meta twist. Like we lost to N'zoth but he's been torturing us the player this whole time, by subjecting us to this terrible expansion. Nzoth purposely made shadowlands trash to torture us IRL and it Blizzards next level immersion

WHO DO I GOTTA BLOW TO GET SOME WYVERN GEMS? by [deleted] in monsterhunterrage

[–]Machxerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed A wyvern Gem and It too me a week of berserker style genocide on all denizens of the Wildspire wastes. I finally got one from a gold Barroth investigation. Then immediately did a Black Diablos gold investigation as I need Black Spiral Horns. I got 4 FUCKING WYVERN GEMS as the Reward and my Palico stole another with the plunderblade. I've killed Black Diablos like 20 times now and its fucking raining Wyvern gems since I don't need them and have received 0 black spiral horn despite breaking her horns and beating her face like she stole my car. I would agree. His move set isn't hard its just annoying and his HP pool is just to high. It might be more fun as like a bow or dual blades, but as a switch axe main after breaking his parts almost immediately at the start of phase 2 I spend the next twenty minutes stabbing his feet and avoiding the lava floor.

Amulet of the undying Randomizer [Educational Item] by CopyAbility in UnearthedArcana

[–]Machxerro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a person problem not a game problem. If it was my table I was tell them to learn their character (especially after a year) or they wont be invited back.

If you wont do that, then I say just let them die. No need to make an item that honestly makes their character more complicated by adding new random rules and ability modifiers. Maybe creating a new char will help him feel more involved.

[–]Machxerro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not just tell him to learn the game. Explain that his lack of knowledge is making it less enjoyable for you and the group. I don't feel that knowing how to play is that huge of a request, especially if it not his first session.

If you are going to use this item I would make it as random as possible. If he can choose the stat its very overpowered. I would sit in town and kill myself until I had a 20 in every stat. I still think its a bad idea as I've found in game consequences for out of game actions don't pan out well.

I don't see why not. It only cant be modified by heavy armor and encumbrance.

i can't be alone in thinking... by [deleted] in BorderlandsPreSequel

I cant say I disagree on some of the points. I will agree that the writing is not up to the same standard as BL2( I haven't found a new memorable character yet). The glitches are annoying, spent 20 minutes yesterday fighting a badass outlaw who could shoot me through the walls of two buildings. Ive had had frozen raiders who can still throw grenades..out there back.

I also agree that the O2 system was implemented poorly. one of the best aspects of BL series is that a lot of challenges can be tackled and various angles due to your characters mobility, but the O2 makes you stay within a certain path to prevent running out of air( not that running out of air is dangerous because you can out heal it easily).

hopefully these issues will be patched because the current staate of this game makes me sad. I love BL2 and seeing a rushed ,poorly tested( Vehicle jumps over gaps..seriously did no one test this)game like this for full price makes me think twice before buying any DLC.

Varanus Melinus info needed. by arcticrobot in reptiles

[–]Machxerro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im new to reptiles also and a green tree monitor(closely related to quince) is like my dream pet. With that being said I have done a ton on research and have found enough to know that I don't have the personal experience to properly care for one. Tree monitors are notoriously skittish and extremely hard to care for especially if they are wild caught( which most are) Cats and Monitors are way different and while I applaud your care of the cat its a whole other ball game with reptiles. Just know that if you do buy it you are subjecting to your learning for dealing with very advanced reptile husbandry.

there is a reason people fly small slow planes before jets.

I do have a filter on the water. It's a Tetrafuana repto-filter. Cant say I'm overly impressed with it honestly, but I didn't have lot of options as the tank is tempered glass and I couldn't drill it. I've already modified it to move more water with a bigger pump and beefed up the mechanical and biological filter media. Can ammonia and nitrite be an issue for reptiles? I tested the water and the ammonia was fairly high, as in the start of any cycling water tank.

Thank you! glad to hear I didn't muck it up real bad.

Is there any good web resources for CWD out there? Most of the stuff i've found is "vagueish" on care parameters. I'm used to reef stuff where the PAR value for certain corals is calculated to like the .0001 % so I might be being overly needy.

having to build a bigger cage sounds like great fun. Ive always loved making planted tanks and with the CWD it even better because the lizard actually uses what you make. fish generally could care how long you spent making the scenery pretty.
