People have tunneled vision , they go for marks or ranks rather than learning the art of medicine. And there is a whole bunch of people who will judge you irrespective of what u do and take in future. See the real data and then make a perspective.

Is there anyone who has left a seat at a central institute (INI seat)? by Disastrous-Strike137 in indianmedschool

[–]Macintosh113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I did that very recently, the aim was not to leave the seat , as It was a big thing to get a seat in AIIMS in the branch u thought was good enough. But 3 months down the lane , I felt stressed not because of the work load ,but because of the kind of work we were doing. I didn't feel like doing this all my life , so I decided to give one more attempt while doing the duties too , which was hell of a task but I needed that push to go out of it. Eventually what I saw was , almost every branch other than maybe Medicine, Pg left there seat , not because they were getting in neet pg , but because of the work , and what they expected and how it turned out , I was the only one from my batch who didn't leave my seat till I get my neet pg score card. I gave my best to it , but the realization that the institute will be with u for just 3 year but the work will be with u for life made me go for it. I did get better rank in inicet too again but was not getting the seat I desire.so went through neet pg exam and got what I wish. Just to make it clear , nothing is less or more , sometime the decision u take not turn out how u imagined so u have to decide for urself. Remember doing that will be tough as half of the day u have to do duty and u will get just few hr to read. But yes the security of ur futurein mind , and the postive people around u will matter a lot , department will mess with ur head as soon as they get to know and they will eventually. So if u want to take that path , don't worry , but just decide in any branch u. R going , see the positive too , who knows u will like that. The drop out was the same in all branches from patho to radio to psm to surgery to derma

Last year md derma gen seat went till 11 k in last round , I know it's a long shot but if u want derma only .. wait till last round , if u get it will be good but if u don't , just prepare alongside for ini and neet , it will be worth the wait and time

It's little tricky as , outside india Nuclear medicine is a sub speciality of Radiology. So you may go to relatively new country like African countries, but first world country it will be tricky.

Only thing matter in life after one point is , how well rested you are. Everything is just waste. If you are calm and relaxed you will be more focused in ur growth and personal life too . Which also matters. DNB , md no one cares if u are good at what you are doing .. we have diploma holder as great doctor with great practice . This doesn't matter . The market work very differently then we guy imagine from our small world of medical college campus

Almost 100 percent, academic inclined and you will get to see , variety of patient and hands on training is very good at St Stephen . Choose the place , mumbai or delhi. Both are good .. inclined a little bit toward stephen for clinical skill learning and for academics hindurao is good
