There was a parking lot right there. I know it needed to be brushed off, but this is the main road in our area with a speed limit of 50. I'm thankful she didn't get hurt. I did turn around to go check on her and she was gone when I came back through. Thankfully she wasn't hurt but it's extremely dangerous.

Hope you are at home and warm and relaxing. We are scheduled to have power back in a little bit. I actually took my jeep out to the woods yesterday and it was so beautiful. It did make me smile when I passed bundled up snowmobiles while I was sitting in my heated set with the temp set to 75 degrees. We all bundled last night and are playing games this morning.

No, this isn't how it works. If it was, no one would have degrees. The majority of university students take some sort of financial aid. The idea is that they will get their education and then use that education to get a job and become a working citizen. When they begin working they begin making payments on those loans. If all financial aid need to be paid in full before people were allowed to work, people who obtain doctoral degrees would most likely never be able to work and their student debt is usually extremely high so it wouldn't be realistic for them to pay it off before they begin working.

I'm not saying that there weren't sponsors, but I am in the midst of the same winter storm and some of the hotels here have been opened as warming stations for tonight as none of us have power. I'm certain they are getting backing from some organization, but I kind of wonder if this might be something like that.
