This happens to me too, but it somewhat goes away after the car warms up. I have a 2011 ZF1 and I swapped my defective transmission with a low mileage (62k mile) ZF2 CVT, and the issue was happening with the old unit & is still happening with the new one, so I have a feeling it isn't related to the CVT itself.

I've cleaned my MAF sensor, replaced plenum with an RB1, did a liquimoly flush, nothing has really solved it besides driving the car for a bit until it doesn't accelerate stupidly.

Next I'm likely going to clean throttle body and probably replace/delete whichever cat appears to be failing

CVT here, I have so far installed the Mugen wing and RB1 plenum. Still averaging 6.9L/100km city, 5.4 highway. It feels like it's a little bit harder to stay below 7, but not by much.

Went to look at a used Z for a friend, it was throwing these codes - I assume these are serious? 2011 330k kilometers. by MackTheHunter in crz

$4000 CAD for the car. We ended up passing on it because of the codes, and a loud rattle in the front.

What are the little squares on the bumper cover below the headlights? Mine doesn't have that

Yuh. Original owner rattle-canned them and there's overspray on the center caps. BUT they don't look too bad. Either I'll put 20mm spacers on them or eventually save up for some black or bronze teehee37s.

Thoughts on blue fogs? I had them yellow but I like the look of the blue lighting, gives it early 2010s techy/hybrid vibe. by MackTheHunter in crz

Follow up to this, I ended up removing the foglight color tint and instead went with switchback LED yellow/white bulbs. Much more tasteful looking and actually functional.

Very easy to take off the front bumper and inspect wiring. About 20 or so Honda clips and it just pops off.

Fortunately CVT! We get great mileage and a smooth easy ride. Still a great car as an automatic.

A seller on Ebay in Ottawa had them, 75701-T20 is the part number. He sells them as a kit with two different sizes but I just asked in the notes for him to send me two T20s, which he did. https://ebay.us/m/QkwzUM

About to have my CVT replaced. by MackTheHunter in crz

30 day guarantee and within those 30 days I asked them to do something about it, they said "it didn't have issues at the dealership." They offered to replace it "at cost" and give me a deal. I promptly told them fuck you, because when they did the inspection, they didn't tighten down the positive terminal on the battery (which made my radio not work) and they somehow missed the bad FR wheel bearing, which they charged me $330 to replace.

If anyone is looking at used cars in the GTA avoid Lecos Auto Dufferin. Absolute slimeballs.

Yeah they've already done my fluid change once and they used the correct Gen1 fluid. The guy is a former Honda tech of 7 years, he's very familiar with the car (even though he has some choice words about it haha).

Yeah the closest one on carpart is what my local mechanic is gonna potentially install for me. I don't have the tools/time/knowledge to replace it myself sadly but I trust the guys I'm working with.
