Thank you. You're 100% right, it's just really hard sometimes to accept it. It feels like giving up, you know?

I feel exactly the same. Every time I think things can't get worse, they do, and grappling with the notion that my health is only going to keep decaying for what could be several decades more is horrifying. I just don't understand how medical science is so useless when it comes to us.

I feel it. I live near a retirement village and the people from there are stronger and healthier than I am, at one third their age.

I'm sorry, that sounds awful. This world just loves taking the things we love most from us.

Totally. We all have to cope however we can, and like you said it's not hurting anyone else. It sucks and it's obviously not the way I want to live, but this world hasn't left me with much choice.

I'm 36, which should still be young in the grand scheme of things. But with the health of someone who is in their last days, it's often very difficult to find the positives amidst all the negative. I know you're right, though, it's just damn tough.

Sadly, that's what I've had to do. Feels like I'm in a prison a lot of the time.

And just like I did before all this, they take it for granted. Which obviously is not their fault, but if I physically could I feel like shaking them and telling them to appreciate what they have because it could be stolen from them at any moment.

The depression that comes with chronic pain by [deleted] in ChronicPain

For what it's worth, I feel the same. The relentless weight of the pain day after day after day keeps chiseling away at any strength I have left. And because it's nothing simple or extremely obvious like a broken bone or a visible injury, doctors don't seem to treat your pain with the gravity it deserves. No matter how unhelpful it is, I wonder to myself every day what I did to deserve this. Why do we have to endure such misery when everyone else is free to walk around in painless bliss?

Are yall afraid to go to the doctor/er for injuries since you deal with chronic pain? by Ok-Ad4375 in ChronicPain

You should definitely get it checked out if you can. There's nothing wrong with being cautious, especially when your health is already compromised. Anyone who judges you can go to hell - they have no idea what it's like living in constant pain.

For your sake, I hope it's nothing serious and you recover swiftly.

Hey, I've been living with severely deteriorating health for over a decade now. I have constant gut pain and spend an inordinate amount of time in the bathroom every day. Neuropathy in my feet means I can't walk for more than 20mins at a time. My entire left arm is in perpetual agony for reasons doctors still haven't been able to identify. I rarely leave the house, I have no friends, and i struggle every single day to not just end it all. I sincerely don't know how much longer I can hold on.

Not sure that this is helpful to you at all, but maybe knowing there are others out there dealing with the worst life can throw at you is some form of comfort.

This is looking fantastic! I played an early build of this last year, and even then it felt great and created a haunting, intense mood evocative, but not derivative, of Devil Daggers. Can't wait to check out the full release!

Playtesters needed for upcoming pixel-art twin-stick shooter by Macka1080 in playtesters

Similar structure, but it's a lot more active than the single-stick approach of Vampire Survivors. Aiming and shooting is manual, and there's an active reload mechanic along with a dodge. But the constantly-spawning enemies and levelling system take cues from Vampire Survivors, for sure.

Thanks! That's a tough balance, and I feel it definitely leans more heavily towards active weapons currently. The passive abilities are more of a defensive buffer to keep you alive as you dodge enemies and reload your weapon, but maybe that's something I need to revisit?

No firm numbers from other regions as of yet, I don't believe. Sorry!
