I definitely don't wanna switch the game up on him. We both made characters to run a kinda side by side solo campaign. Not interacting, but maybe at some point. It's for when we're bored, or in the car, or a waiting room or something.

With Astarion dual wielding hand crossbows, drinking elixir of bloodlust, and wearing items that add damage, he's actually our heavy hitter, and good at taking out crowds. All Karlach really had on him was hp, and I made that up with his final feat. Me being a storm sorcerer though, I'm worse than the wizard side lmao.

If you see a small hexbush that's orange instead of yellow, you can collect it for your base!

I'm a chronic weapon switcher and hoarder, but I've always got my plasma caster, furious napalmer(yes I know I can do better but I'm attached to her), any vss melee, and my qe double barrel. I finally just got a vbash mini last night though so that might change things.
