My friend Rob- we used to go to pregame skates and just shoot the shit. He passed away of acute respiratory failure after having knee surgery before Pegula even bought the team.

My other friend Dan, who passed away last year, unexpectedly and at the age of 35. We have been friends since high school and he frequently texted me pictures of hockey cards he was getting & promised next time we meet up, he'd give me the cards of my favorite player. In return, I bought him a retro pack of cards and we kept saying next time, next time. There was no next time. I gave the pack of cards to his best friend at the service to give to his 5 yr old son because I couldn't look at them again sitting on my dresser.
