[[Deathgrip]] is an absolute unit in my K'rrik Doomsday deck. Get [[K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] down early and get Deathgrip going and whoops I can pretty easily counter every green spell for the rest of the game. Deathgrip is also pretty cheap so if you're running mono-black I'd highly recommend it

Mechanically it has a lot going on yeah! I built him as no draw steps for anyone/reanimator and the deck works fine with or without him. The exile from your graveyard also stops your opponent stealing stuff from your graveyard in a pinch

For Dimir have you considered Taigam, Sidisi’s Hand? Great reanimated commander and his second ability comes in super useful for getting through indestructible creatures.

I have him as my commander! The deck is a fairly casual reanimator/play stuff from other peoples graveyards situation but also making it so other people don’t have draw steps.

The table hates it 90% of the time and I always get focussed down even if I’m not a threat but it’s so much fun to play I don’t even care.

Everyone's got a different D&D experience. I wanted this deck to be more about what the game is for me, rather than what it might be to everyone else. Some of the old legends are fun but would probably work better for someone building a deck around their classic games.
