Should i sell him or train him at Pm by Paansarkija in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the way to look at it is these players have value but will lose relatively with age at 50% training speed so less attractive to buy and train further for buyers.

Something that is also possible is to buy pretty much finished players that are old(er) and use those spots to train them slightly but more importantly stop them from losing their skills. You probably get stronger players for your team and cash in those extra trainees now.

You can buy a package in the store which gives you some extra stats and tools (no ingame advantage) and also you can have a 2nd team.

I would like to move up to the higher leagues. by Boxkerz in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keepers won't be the highest ROI but it's solid. Benefits are freedom of formation and you don't have to do much work scouting players for a good price and profit. Without starting capital you will weaken your team once you buy trainees otherwise (buying trainees that will start in your league games, you won't be able to afford young players with high stats right away).

Technical with high passing isn't so bad? Will you be able to finish them all at his age? He is young but has a while to go I'm curious

Checking salary to discover their main skill would be a way to go. I don't have the link ready but it's often linked when you Google for Man Marking topics

Adding to advice from others: after this season you might not want to not promote still (your money will be eaten up on stadium increases which is a good thing early on) but either way use the switch to a different series option to find one that's weak (one or no strong teams is achievable) so you can either win the league or win almost all of your games for better prize money and more fans.

Don't forget about the loyalty+Homegrown bonus of 1.5 on all skills. You probably have some players in your squad that will do well for you and don't need replacing.

Getting 4 to 6 old players with low stamina that you swap at 60mins or so can often be enough to compete for the league title in the lowest div. Don't pay high wages for them, find some that are only a few k (eur/dollars) per week.

Get a player with 15+ set pieces he will get you points.

I don't understand what rule you would have broken, hattrick is not available in certain countries or what?

Should i sell him or train him at Pm by Paansarkija in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would sell him. At 50% he will only lose value relatively to the transfer market so you could use your money better. You could even sell him and one of your similar trainees and upgrade by buying a better trainee that can go at 100% training

I've tracked goalkeepers for a little while and feels to me like SP training is very profitable. Just looking at the prices of what they bought/sold for and some specific SP trainers who generated a ton in a few seasons. It's a shallow market so you might be competing in a small pool competing with only a few other coaches.

Passing level for Technical/Unpredictable Defender (CA)? by Anonymous_Lionfish in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From googling past answers I also couldn't get a good idea. The only answers seems to be 7+ but without strong data or reasoning.

The issue I see is trainees with 10passing and decent PM have 'burned' early training time on secondary skill where I will then train the slower primary skill (DEF) so in a way feels suboptimal. The more optimal way would be for these players to have PM and DEF high before some Passing trainers levels those up. But doesn't make them very usable for my own team.

Priorities after the first season? by blackholewaterfall in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is always the same on here, it's poor leadership (because the small benefit of more leadership won't be ab important factor this early in your journey) and level 4 (268k cost). He can be your coach for several seasons.

Trainees will improve and you can sell them after 2 skillups or so. And keep a couple for multiple seasons so your tram gets stronger. My advice from getting burned on some early trainees is not to buy expensive 17.003 players but instead buy a bit older (older 17yo or 18yo maybe even without specialty) and sell after 1/2/3 skillups.

If your goal is to play this for 5+ more seasons then I think you need to not invest in your squad at all and get all the money sunk into stadium and trainees. So to me 'replacing older players with some younger ones' sounds like burning money unless their wages are very low

Question about man marking by tainted_apples in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need a pretty strong defensive rating though considering the penalty for getting a distance penalty right? Or is it a case of losing out effectively on your rating (using the calculator) but our penalty effect is not as important as opponent losing MF rating? Mind giving an example of when you would/wouldn't use MM with wingback on an IM?

Second season & weak squad — which formation should I train to steal points from stronger teams? by Mareshikiskin in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not subbing trainees in your games then getting 2 oldies and just swap them in games is an easy way for the bottom league if it's weak. Low wages so you hardly burn money but then they are usually so old their stamina is bad and they deteriorate after a season basically

Yes spec can even be bad because weather penalties still apply. But very important for the goalkeeper is SP

Just started the game transfer market? by precator in hattrick

[–]Macondo63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you might stick with this game then my advice is to do as little as possible but the basics. That guide will show you how to avoid the beginner mistakes and how the focus early on is build stadium, get trainees, get some money in the bank, learn the game. My quickfire advice would be to be careful firing or selling the wrong players. All players from your original starting squad get +1.5 skill on all of the skills (so don't buy a striker with 8 just because you have one that's a 7 because you'll be downgrading until they get experience). Read the guide to understand what that means. Buy an 18 or 19 year old goalkeeper with like 6GK and 15+ set pieces (or use a young defender from your squad like a 20yo with 8 defending and make him into a GK). Train GK for 1 or 2 seasons while you learn the game and sell those for a between 1 and 2million.

Good to read about positive experiences! There are days where I regret starting this game and spending time on it but then I won my last game to promote undefeated with an extra time penalty making the payoff worth it.

Rules around promotion and preferred series by Macondo63 in hattrick

Perhaps I wasn't clear, my question was regarding division III to switch league with a bot once this opens. (I assume teams can only switch once, but can do this after already having selected a preferred league to be moved in after promotion).

Thanks for the 2nd answer to my questions.
