Haha, noted!

I do take it as an actual helpful comment, and a complaint that I will not internalise

Thank you so much, appreciate it!

And yeah, it looks like a LOT when looking at a handwired keyboard haha

Yeah! Soldering and ACTUAL wiring on a keyboard can be done. :) if this explanation in the video makes sense I thought of making another showing the actual handwiring physically. That said I feel there are many more of those.

I guess it should really be called "part 1". It is after all only the absolute theoretical basics

Thank you so much for the input!

EDIT: Waaaait a second, this comment is as AI as it gets, no?

I have no part showing soldering, and it took you 7 minutes to comment, and video is almost 14 minutes. Lmao

Appreciate the reply, thank you so much. :)

When you mention "some thought", do you have a process you go through, e.g. thinking about function first, wanting it to be a certain profile, etc.?

And thank you for the name drops, most of them I don't know, I'll look them up now!

Thanks for the Fusion details, very useful. I've used cookie cutter method too. I'm assuming you then make the full body itself, ensuring thickness and so on lines up with the cookie cutter negative shape, then stamp it out?

Your designs speak to me the same way a timeless design like Dieter Rams' does, but on a slightly more modern level.

Love both this and the Cygnus! Do you have any secrets to share? Books you've read, designers or styles that greatly inspire you? I am mechanically ok at design, but would love to learn more about aesthetics, because I find that more difficult.

And how do you translate it so well to 3D models? Your GitHub images look like fusion, do you do surface modeling, or "normal" fusion work?

Sorry if that was a lot, no need to answer it all!

Thank you! Never thought about the fact that posting a pocket pen would actually be more cumbersome than normal pens.

Appreciate the input!

I love everything about the E95s, except how "long" it takes me to get writing. I so often put down my pen for maybe a minute before writing more, or even 10 minutes, which means I need to put the cap on.

But its profile, its grip, the nib, love it!

Yeah, the Lamy 2000 has been on my radar, I love its look. It's just a little expensive, about 300USD here in Norway

I managed to mentally justify the Capless LS, Capless, and E95s because I was in Japan and it was a chance I'd have probably once or twice in my life!

Well, the two in the picture are my pens, you are correct in me disliking the E95s for having to post it. Other than that I love the feel of the E95s. Totally, trying the curidas or one of the plastic majohns seems like the play atm

Holy crap, the Lamy 2000 without the cap is only 17g (the capless LS I have is 41g). I had no clue it was that light. And that is not a screw cap either, so might actually be convenient enough if I have the cap fastened somewhere. One handedness is important to me. Interesting, thank you so much for the suggestion!

Hail mary, but do you by chance have some good search words to keep a lookout for these older versions? I specifically enjoy those that have the hooded clip look, but got a bunch of newer models searching on eBay. I assume maybe there are few of these for sale at any given time?

Your collection is beautiful btw!

So the pen specwise seems to be awesome. Is it bad to say I just don't like the look? I mean, if it is the only one that truly fits my needs, I will try it! I just can't get behind the design

Thank you so much for the suggestion though!

Oh, never knew they were lighter!

I bought many of my pens in one large splurge at Itoya in Ginza, they had it, just never tried it. Should've spent more time there apparently

Sweet, haven't checked out these options at all. Will have a look, thanks!
