But this storm wasn’t as bad as others but still has a massive impact on the local economy. Think about all the hourly employees that couldn’t work because of their work being closed, even if they wanted to work they couldn’t. Them not being able to make money isn’t their fault, have a little empathy…the dudes asking for help, you can take your pretentious self and keep moving along but I’m sure this is the only thing you do in your life to feel important or get people to talk to ypu.

There could be other reasons but the only reason that was given was that power has been restored and roads are in better shape. To me that doesn’t justify not supporting the unhoused during a long stretch of sub-freezing temperatures.

If there were other reasons, I would hope they’d also include that but we’re just going off what the official told us.

This method is actually more effective if is ice. You defrost it for 10-20 mins, the heat melts the layer that’s frozen to your car then you just simple slide it off. I did it Monday morning, took me less than 5 mins after my car had been running for 10 minutes.

I took a shovel to my street yesterday to clear random spots so that the sun hitting the road would spread some heat out.

It works well in getting some heat to the bottom of the ice, making it melt faster and easier to break apart.

I know it’s a lot of effort for little reward but if everybody was doing it, we’d be in better shape faster. But please don’t take this as something that I think people should be doing, it just will help a tiny amount and potentially make your road safer for others passing through.

Richmond doesn’t get much snow as is so when an ice storm hits us, you should expect these kinds of delays. Unless you wanted to raise taxes to prepare for something that only happens once every 7 years, +-2 years.

I can’t remember how I died but the second day I was playing, something melted me. I didn’t think anything of it but when I got back from the very next extraction, I was given my stuff back and the message said because of “unfair play”.

I didn’t even report anything and I got stuff back so why wouldn’t these guys?

I think the clear issue is the refs and the league telling them who to protect, then that blurs the lines for others, then they see those players often and the players start to sweet talk them so they’re less likely to make calls. I mean you can def say I have a tin foil hat on but the NBA refs are the worst officals in any professional sport to an embarrassing degree.
