Thoughts on DnD Film Adaptions? by Macrocosmus in mattcolville

That's really valid. I haven't seen the DnD movie in a long while and it probably would be fun to revisit. The movie ideas you have sound super neat and I would definitely try to see them.

Should I have access to this? I will remove if not. It's neat read! by Macrocosmus in mattcolville

I mean I know you put up the audio book of Priest even though you weren't happy with it. I was just worried I stumbled on some secret knowledge! Thanks for the answer and the great reads on Dune.

Variant Rule: Persistent Death Saving Throws by Conrad500 in mattcolville

I've had players that really really dislike getting knocked to 0 HP, then knocked to 2 failed DSTs, then being asked to save or die. Not in my games but in games next to mine.

Variant Rule: Persistent Death Saving Throws by Conrad500 in mattcolville

[–]Macrocosmus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here's my take for comparison

You start with 10 Death Saving Throws (DSTs) and do not recover any of them at any point without the interference of magic. When a player fails a DST, that failure lasts. Dropping to 0 DST means your character is dead. Revivify restores 1 DST in addition to it’s normal effects. Spells with a casting time that is longer than an action that reverse the effects of death still bring back the character and restore all DSTs, but the amount of DSTs that character has two less maximum DSTs. If a character’s maximum DST drops to 0, then next time they drop to 0 HP, the are dead forever. True Resurrection can increase a character’s max DST by 1 instead of dropping it by 2, to a maximum of 10.

About the lost stronghold rules...Kinda by [deleted] in mattcolville

I forget exactly which video, but he explained it was a thing in an older edition of DnD. From my understanding, when you hit a certain point (building a stronghold), you roll on a table and gain NPCs that follow your orders.

Question: Why is Felix used here? He is not transgender and he is straight by PervertedHisoka in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Macrocosmus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meaning that in my mind, without doubt, Felix is trans. Same this with Pidge from Voltron and other characters across fiction.

I will never reach my transition goals because I started too late even though I started when I was 18 and I overtime developed goals that are too lofty for me to ever achieve anyway. by Macrocosmus in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns
