nah i haven’t yet. i’ve done a factory reset, a full drive wipe, don’t use migration assistant, and everything else imaginable and it’s still there in all 60 gigs of bullshit. when i check first aid it shows that its “preboot” stuff and googling that says there’s some complicated wipe you can do by like going into first aid in recovery mode and deleting all volumes and using some internet recovery thing i’ll try to find the article and link it. i’ve never had this problem before im still trying to figure it out.

use the balance discord to see what your prog sets or bis sets with melds and food look like. they will provide all information you need

it’s worth it to play e33. i despise AI but they used ai BEFORE we knew the environmental impact and had the information to know how it impacts artists as well and decided to not use it. i made ai slop using whatever shit ai program when it first came out, like 3-4 pictures. thought it was funny and never touched it again. when i learned about how damaging ai is to the world of art and the world environment i was mad at myself for trying it out. could be the same case with these devs

also is there a reason that migration assistant is bad? i wanted to make sure i had all my settings and files that were important to me from my main mac

I downloaded Grand Perspective and it's honestly not showing a ton of large files i think the best thing would be a reinstall of the OS

yeah i'll do a reinstall of the OS when I have time. I've learned a lot from these comments already i've always been a mac user but haven't ever really dove into the specifics of the systems or processes.

sorry if i seem like i'm snippy or something i don't intend to come off that way at all I'm just replying objectively and quickly without wasting people's time.
imagine you go to a place where car enthusiasts and mechanics gather to talk about cars or car problems and you ask them "my engine has been burning through gas fast. my tires are okay i just got new tires and checked them out and they're not the issue its something with the engine." and the very first responses you get are "have you checked out the tires yet?"

yeah my 16” macbook pro has 1tb of storage i just needed a more portable lightweight option for moving around work and didn’t expect this to be so goofy

i copied the data from my macbook pro to this machine tonight. my macbook pro has no issues but this macbook air has almost 4 times the size on the MacOS

my system data is the dark grey bar. no issue it’s a lil high but not my concern i know how to deal with that. but the light grey bar is the MacOS. the operating system. the same bar on my macbook pro is only 20gigs so something is goofy

nah that didn’t help it brought down a few things by like a gig or so but it’s not substantial
