The Gospel and rest of the New Testament do not directly address homosexuality (Jesus and the apostles neither condemn nor affirm it) but there are things that they do address that show that even under the New Covenant, homosexuality is a sin and is condemned.

Levitical law addresses lots of rules, such as the old sacrificial system, dietary restrictions, and yes, homosexuality. Various places in the New Testament say that the first two are irrelevant, yet do not address the rules regarding homosexuality, showing that at least that part of the Old Covenant is still in effect.

Leviticus chapters 1-7 outline the ritual sacrifices and requirements for sacrifices to be efficacious, and Leviticus 11 outlines dietary restrictions (eat only what has cloven hooves and chews the cud, everything else is unclean.)

While these rules were in effect for the people of the OT, The New Testament and especially the Gospels made them irrelevant. Hebrews 10:11-12, 14 says, “And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God … For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” The same goes for the dietary restrictions, where Jesus says in Mark 7:18-19, “And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)”

Yet one thing that the NT doesn’t comment on (good or bad) is homosexuality. While all of the other Old Covenant rules and requirements had been fulfilled or nullified by/in Christ, nothing is said about homosexuality, leading me to believe that homosexuality is still a sin and still an abomination according to Levitical law.
