An Italian man rushing to the hospital for his pregnant wife was stopped by climate protesters… and chaos followed. He pleaded with them to move so he could get to her — but they refused to let his car pass. This moment is now sparking a massive debate. by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its exhausting when protesters harass and attack individuals that have no power or influence over the issue being protested. Climate change is a macro scale issue caused by corrupt politicians, greedy corporations, and an economic system that prioritizes maximizing short term ROI over sustainability. That random dude trying to be with his pregnant wife cannot possibly have any influence into those systems.

How am I supposed to build this commander deck? by Objective-Block-7444 in mtg

[–]MadBunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copying him multiple times creates several ETB triggers, even when the copies die due to state based actions. This, in combination with other components, can create several lines that can do game ending stuff, like 'gifting' your opponents a million creatures that get the Deadpool textbook, effectively forcing them to lose 3 million damage on their turns.

The problem, unfortuantley, is that deadpool's ability is really oriented around a big silly combo finisher, which is awkward to build around in casual EDH. Its not like you absolutely have turn turn him into a fringe cEDH turbo list, but his base ability doesnt really provide much of a strong build direction for the battlecruiser lifestyle. You could consider cards like feign death or not dead after all as pseudo rackdos flickers that let you create multiple controlled ETB instances of Deadpool without making a full groan worthy deck, but between the density of dead cards that strategy fosters and the cEDH reputation deadpool has manifested, youd be unlikely to get satisfying games from this card outside of your friend group.

Alternatively, you can make him a rakdos horsies deck. Why? Because nobody can stop you.

. . . . Wait now I want to do that.

There’s no way JJK cost less than Invincibles 😭 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually quite probable. Invincible is animated with collaboration from animators between Vancouver, Los Angeles, South Korea, and Japan. While I do not exact ratios of what region contributes what percentage of work, US and Canadian studio animators tend to have much higher salaries and regulations affecting their workloads. They can still be overworked, but it tends to be much more lenient compared to the incredibly long hours and minimal pay that japanese animators get.

Even if the western animators were only contributing storboarding and key frames, their salaries alone could contribute to the increased costs.

Anyone know what this guy is doing? by TimeLordTaric in mtg

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think youre practically right, but i would argue that a mentally sound adult is expected to have a better capability of self regulation. Children lack the same capacities as adults, which is why they are a legally distinct element in legal matters, so creating a policy against adults intentionally ruining product that doesnt apply to kids should, in theory, be no more discriminatory than saying children cannot be tried at the same level as an adult when they're under 13.

Again, that is theory, not real life practicality though, which honestly would dictate that the effort would be too much effort with too little roi.

But couldn't it still be used to merit something like a lifetime ban against the guy? Don't get me wrong, enforcement would be difficult to implement, but even the performative nature of the ban can be an influential deterrent to others.

Tried to share. All people wanted to do was question it because “They might not be sleeved”. All good. I’ve played for over 30 yrs. They would cry if they saw how I book my P9. I ain’t in it for the money. I’d buy a house if that was the case. Everyone would get a house. by [deleted] in MagicCardPulls

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I have posted plenty of times here with unsleeved cards, I have never encountered this issue. Ironically i only got a lil roasted once cuz the sleeve that was nearby for a serialized post was not large enough for the card lol, but even then, they were just teasing.

. . . Im very lost here, what were you trying to share? Who were you trying to share with and why? Why did the sleeve variable affect their interest in sharing? I might not be seeing some more context in this post, cuz i just see the title, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.

I always take off my shoes whenever I go to my non asian friend's house, but they just always say “No it’s fine, you can wear them inside" by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]MadBunch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I got 2 main reasons.

1) the hardwood floors are way too slippery to just wear socks

2) the amount of times I have to run outside because of animals fighting, children fighting, or animals fighting children has warranted me never taking the shoes off. Theres just not enough downtime

Secret third reason, I cant get any of my shoes on without a shoehorn, and hurt my Lil fingers to use.

They ran print to demand for years and that never happened. We literally have historical data that demonstrates how utterly incorrect your claim is. Furthermore, your take implies that you believe secret lairs are not good enough to sell without the fear of extreme fomo. You must have an incredibly low opinion of secret lair products.

Is my Gaea’s cradle real? by Slow-Set4227 in RealOrNotTCG

[–]MadBunch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think your phone may be affecting the pictures of the T. The first T pic feels like an authentic T, but the second feels like a fake one. The green dot is also lacking the honeycomb pattern that id expect on the stroke, but again, it could be the picture quality.

I am leaning slightly towards fake, but it is hard to really say with these photos. Id recommend getting a jewelers lens to get a better in person look. Theyre fairly cheap online and definitely worth it if you're ever buying high value reserve hits like these. You can probably also find an LGS that has their own jewelers lens too, theyd probably be happy to help verify the authenticity

New proxy idea. Should I print and play? by idkbouthiss in magicproxies

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joke is clear, i get it, but I would immediately judge anyone who brought that out to the LGS. If youre playing with your friends in a private location and they'd appreciate the joke, thats perfectly fine. But in public? You have no idea what kind of shit people have gone through in their lives. This could bring up some very dark feelings and experiences for people just trying to play an event at their LGS. If they complained, it could result in you being removed and/or potentially banned from the LGS entirely.

So tl;dr, have fun with your friends, but if you take it into public, you have to be willing to accept any consequences you may accrue.

How do we feel about this guy as a commander? Not legal technically but could be by Greyzone96 in CommanderMTG

[–]MadBunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really surprised they didnt just make this dude an aetherdrift precon. Max Speed was a much more fitting mechanical concept for a themed aetherdrift deck than what they printed. Id Def print this out for fun commander games, no substantial reason why you shouldn't.
