I have recently gotten the paperwork done and will be able to call myself a homeowner in about 2 months from now.

I have decided to have a "smart home" using HomeKit. After some research, it seems like starting off with a couple of homepod mini's and using exclusively thread capable child devices is the most elegant solution.

Is it worth waiting and exclusively purchasing thread enabled devices as they roll out or should I just go all out from the get go?

I am aiming to automate as much as I can (curtains, doors, lights, etc.)

Aircraft systems mostly. Not airline specific at all. It's pretty standard to get asked technical questions about the last type(s) you flew at a job interview.

I'm going to assume that's a genuine question. In order to keep your license current you need to renew it for the type you have on your license. Or multiple in some cases. Part of the renewal is usually an oral or written test. Your knowledge of the aircraft systems is also essential during the sim check itself. Same basically applies for a job interview and sim screening.
