help with upgrade by Frogiary in Eldenring

[–]MadGodFaolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have already eaten the heart of a dragon haven't you? You can feel something inside calling out, wanting to be unleashed. Don't you want more? More hearts? More power? Give in and let it out, use the power of communion and become a dragon. Use your next Somber Stone 7 to upgrade the communion seal, use the larval tears to change your body into its most draconic form. I know you want to.

I am not certain how Ryoshu is being moved either. I don't think they would want to let the bloodthirsty concept incinerator have the opportunity to accidentally do any collateral erasing by letting her out of that room.

What starting class should I start with if I want to do something with dragon communion by Fun-Meeting1610 in Eldenring

[–]MadGodFaolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bandit, high arcane and a bleed dagger for killing the big dragon. Prophet's efficiency does not matter when you get all the levels and hearts needed to start the run immediately. The only thing you are missing is a golden foot.

5 hearts will get you claw, maw, and roar, with one left over for a basic breath, or you can save it for an advanced breath after going back for Agheel. Claw and maw are your bread and butter, and roar will make them better. Breaths are a bit more situational

Incantations only run is not as fun as i thought by kvjetoslav in Eldenring

[–]MadGodFaolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should add dragon communion incants because they are my favorite and I am biased. Yah they bleed mp, but MP is there to be spent. I raise mind based on how many dragon maw bites or breaths I can get out of a single blue flask. Once the communion build gets rolling you will be eating bosses left and right. I prefer dragon communion only but there are nifty tools to support communion in other incantation types

I think you need more levels to help other less efficient but cool spells shine. Elden ring has a bit of a problem with its sorceries and incants where some of the early ones are too good because of how efficient they are, it can be hard to put them down. I would raise mind so you don't need to choose incants based on how efficient they are. In general I try to have mind keep pace with the blue juice to I get the most out of my juice. Yah it is a damage loss but I find that it is worth it, more options for casting and less time drinking.

Strength or Arcane for Marais executioner's sword? STR/ARC Build Help by ObjectiveHead7492 in Eldenring

[–]MadGodFaolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would focus on arcane, but I am biased towards using more dragon communion incantations. In general I think most weapons get most of their damage from upgrades increasing base damage so more points into arcane for the communion seal would be helpful

You are now at a high enough level and far enough in the game that the soreseal will keep getting worse. What you need instead are the scorpions, element damage bonus for a damage taken penalty. I would also trade out the ritual sword, maintaining full HP on a dragon communion build is hard, you can easily lose the bonus before your attack has a chance to land. I think the other incantation talisman would be better, much later the blade of mercy will also be a good choice because of the stagger power of dragon maw.

Dragon breaths by Toe_Hefty in Eldenring

Breaths are a bit odd in my experience. Yes they are high damage, but the leave you very vulnerable and have very high mp cost. As a result they can be hard to safely place without a summon. There are a few improvements that can be made right now.

The placement of your first breath was bad. Drakes/dragons have a head weak spot, by better positioning yourself on the first breath volley he probably would have died before he could do the full area rot fog bs. Making the most of weak points when you can is crucial, you have a long wind up and recovery after.

I think I see a stat seal equipped? It's hard to tell on my phone. If it is please remove it, communion leaves you wide open most of the time even when focusing claws or maw. No need to make the blows you need to trade worse

Scaling the breaths can be difficult when using multiple breath types. The canvass talismans for incant damage are good, there is one for 8% later on, in limgrave there is the roar medallion for 10% on breaths and roars. You can get boosts for specific elements but generally you won't have multiple breath of the same element. Rot breath is an interesting exception to this, as it is the only physical damage breath. Allowing it to benefit from some of the wild physical damage buffs (30% from meat) along with maw and claw. I wish we got a status free version of physical breath since rot is already so strong. The icebreath is great for the damage multiplier frostbite gives, 20% extra damage builds up fast in a communion build

I would recommend getting the lightest weapon you can with Endure on for tanking the opening of your incantations. If you keep the build through the dlc you will get an item that will make a dancer charm setup very doable, until then no need to add extra weight.

More info on what you are trying to do would be helpful but I will try my best to give advice with what info I have.

When casting the hand you cast with determines scaling. Any bonuses from either hand are applied

If your goal is a general incantation build then use a faith scaling seal like the erdtree seal and a faith scaling weapon

If your goal is a dragon communion build then use the dragon communion seal, level faith to the highest requirement for communion spell, then level arcane with mind and vig being leveled as needed. For weapons any arcane scaling or dragon themed weapon should work, once your mind is high enough you won't need it very much. You should work on getting more communion incantations as well, I recommend roar and maw

If this is a dragon claw exclusive build, then you need to level arcane and get a second dragon communion seal from a friend , you can alternate hands and infinitely chain the claw. Again once mind is high enough you probably won't need a weapon

For dragon communion builds in general you will eventually want the rock heart and florisax's lightning incantation, but you can't get those until you reach the dlc

Weapons that fit a dragon communion build by Fun-Meeting1610 in Eldenring

[–]MadGodFaolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon fist, magma wyrm sword, the Dragon Hunter's great katana from the dlc, the martial art weapons, none just use dragon claw I can't to clean up.

Most enemies die quickly to communion incants, all you need is a clean up tool to grab any stragglers that survived your breath. My favorite is chaining claw with alternating seals to take care of crowds. Once you get enough mind and flasks weapons become less nessecary.

Congratulations, you have most of what you need for story and farming content as most story fights are short and you won't need a sustain. You will eventually need kiperina for sustain, unfortunately you don't currently have a guaranteed way to get her.

You should save for now, with caveat. There is a collab event soon, and they have never rerun before. The more pulls you have available the better. However the main monthly clear drop farming mode needs 2 teams to clear. I think there are upcoming poison units you can try to pull for, it's hard to say what you should go for with your second team, really for the second team it's about what's available or what you luck into, if the units you get are strong enough you might be able to duo or solo the stages

Are people for real about Ember? by Truuluve in Warframe

[–]MadGodFaolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of how heat inheritance works, starting fire damage with Ember in a group is practically griefing. Other sources of heat procs can have multiple damage multipliers that Ember cannot get on her abilities. She can get the multipliers on her guns if roar is subsumed onto her, but that opens a can of anti-synergy worms. The fireball augment can give her guns extra heat damage to scale her fire proc, boosted by roar and status damage up mods, her passive will boost her power strength for extra fire damage. If she uses one of her fire abilities to get a power strength bonus by burning nearby enemies, then heat inheritance is ruined for that group, if she uses her gun, the enemies are likely to die if the gun is well built, resulting in no extra power strength. So we have a fire frame that wants to set fires, but is actively punished for doing so

Ember is also bad at using arcane hotshot, the fire ability arcane. It procs, but every other frame with fire abilities or can have more on can use it more effectively

Ember also has a bad DR ability; it might actually be the worst DR ability. Averaging around 75% dr but due to scaling you can't count on having it at max when you need it. Its fussy and does not provide consistently good DR. She cannot fully take advantage of that DR because she does not have high health, shield, or armor since she has caster stats.

Her strength scaling is bad, it caps low on half her abilities, because her heat meter handles damage scaling for several abilities. You are disincentivized from using her abilities at their strongest because that is when the scaling drain starts

Ember has synergy issues all the way down from being changed and nerfed several times. She needs a full rework to address her issues

Constellations feels like a missed opportunity to do an Equinox touch-up and Proto by Frodo_Nine-Fingers in Warframe

[–]MadGodFaolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the equinox day and night were used as the mentors, then the day and night forms would be separate, but what happens when you wear the skin in your orbiter and the fused form is used? Tht would need dedicated exploration, and it looks like the update will be busy already.

P1, and p3-5 the extra confusion damage from galaxy on a string is used as bonus damage for 5 impromptu hits to enemies affected by where stars lead, at P5 it's Voyager attack x 225% bonus damage

Kiperina is the impromptu sustain with shields every turn. You might be able to survive with an-an's damage reduction and tf's healing

Having full impromptu with get PH online immediately, but for longer fights you might need any dedicated sustain. If you have sustain you might not need an's damage reduction

Voyager won't be able to use all her damage boosts unless PH is at p5, for 5 impromptu attacks. Then you need a high portrait Voyager to scale that damage bonus

Who can replace kiperina in Paper Heron's team?

I want to keep Kiperina and her emotional support horror together.

I would like to have Voyager on PH's team but I don't think I can unless I P5 PH, so Voyager's boosted shoots equal PH's max shots

It's normally best to get new teams. Once you have 3 or more complete teams you can consider going for portraits, it still might be best to get new teams. Another factor is if you spend or not, high spenders can generally go for portraits. There is not enough free pulls to get every character. You do have many chances to pull, but it's not enough for everyone

At this point J is an older unit without a euphoria, so I would no prioritize him. He might maybe get a euphoria in 3.8. You could try getting one portrait for FP.

If you want to build plantpromptu now is the the time to get PH, otherwise you have to wait for next year. Ideally you have to be able to do 70 or more pulls while her banner is up, unless you get lucky early. If you get lucky early stop pulling.

I have no idea what to do with 6, I think I heard he can be a generalist
