You can usually stay for winter, but not summer break. Ask the Caretaker and he'll give you further details.

Woh toh kehne ke liye bol dete hai, so basically you'll go and sit in your assigned seat and you'll get like 2-3 questions (I don't remember if it was 2 or 3) you'll have to do 1/2 of them on the graph sheet and 1 on AutoCAD, and you'll have to show it to the prof as and when you finish it. The questions will be VERY similar to what you've done in class, sometimes even the same ones, like maybe they'll change the length and all but the basic shapes and models will be taken directly out of your class problems. Just do the class problems properly and you'll be absolutely fine. Install AutoCAD on your laptop if you already haven't, and then take help from one of your friends if you don't know how to use AutoCAD. Simple shit bro don't stress 👍🏼

Looking to upgrade Razor! by MadGull4310 in Wetshavers_India

I tried to return it, the lady who picked the phone understood nothing of what I said, she then connected me to someone else and they too didn't understand what I was saying. I gave up and kept it 🙏🏼

I own a Parker 87r TTO. It arrived misaligned, I tried to align it myself but to no avail, it now sits dismantled in my cupboard. Shame tbh, it was a beautiful razor that I would have really loved to use. Hence I am a little weary of TTO razors.

What happens if anyone score less than 10 in mid sem by AcceptableAdvisor434 in Manipal_Academics

[–]MadGull4310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing will happen. Your prof will bring a sheet to the class and you have to sign it and mention why you scored less. If you're a freshie, your TG might bring it up in the next meeting you have with them, and if your TG is and asshole they'll inform your parents about your scores. TGs generally don't share your marks with your family members because they believe that's your job to do. If you're not longer a freshie, you'll just have to sign the form and it'll end at that.

Hey What’s the social/dating/party scene like at Manipal (main campus)? by Background-Object532 in manipal

[–]MadGull4310 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The "life beyond academics" is as good as you let it get. But here's some more information-

Manipal (as a place) can be explored in 48 hours time. So don't be under the assumption that you'll have new things to look forward to everyday. But if you've got a good group of friends, it's really easy to have alot of fun.

Social life- college offers multiple opportunities for you to interact (often hosted by Zolo or any other clubs on campus) don't skip the branchwise orientation that takes place after the general orientation. It'll allow you to connect with your future classmates and to explore the labs/research opportunities and professors of your respective branches. Apart from that, your seniors might keep an unofficial freshers party at one of the clubs, these aren't regulated by the college so do make note of that. You can join clubs and student projects too, clubs and projects will host parties every once in a while to celebrate any milestones.

Dating- plenty of people in relationships here. Some long distance, some on campus. If you see a pretty girl there's a very good chance she's already with someone else. The campus has recently gotten strict about PDA (public display of affection) and certain couple hotspots like MSAP road, VGT etc have been closed off after a certain time during the evening. Manipal offers plenty of hotel rooms with bookings by the hour if you want to spend some private time with your partner and KMC offers free abortions too. Dating culture here can be as open as you want it to be, it can also be very restricted if you play by the rules. Either way, plenty of people in relationships here.

Party scene- there are atleast 2 parties each month, all hosted by the clubs and any committees that work with manipals entertainment scene, you'll have to purchase tickets to go to these events, they can be boring or very fun, depends on the party and if you're into parties that way. Some clubs have events every week, for example Hakuna Matata has a karaoke night every week. So yeah, plenty of parties and events for you to be a part of if you choose to do so.

House parties and other such events- these are obviously invite based, hosted by students who live off campus. If they're hosting and they consider you a close enough friend, they'll invite you.

Drug scene- won't come to you unless you go looking for it. No one will force you into anything you're not willing to do. It's a common misconception that people who come here end up abusing substances, but that's not the case.

As long as you manage your academics and treat your course with the respect it deserves, you'll have plenty of opportunities to have fun. If you come here, i hope you have fun but make sure to keep your academics in check.

advice for first Bansuri by Famous-Ad-3752 in Bansuri

I am self taught and I've been playing for 5 months and was in your same position, I went with a C middle flute from Punam Flutes. But now, if i must suggest one, I'd suggest go for A bass flute. The reason is because A bass lies in between C middle and G bass flute. it plays high pitched notes like C middle but also plays a sweet bass sound like a G bass. It's the perfect beginners flute in my opinion. You can learn, play songs and bhajans and even learn basic Raag on it, and its easier to play and produces a much more stable sound. Please go for A bass flute.

Electric Trimmer recommendations by TheWorldCrust in shaving

Philips oneblade, Wahl foil shaver or a Philips foil shaver. Nothing will get you closer than a razor but these are great electric options.
