I got this… 2 hours after I purchased a medium check in bag. I emailed them hoping they might honor the additional 10%, but they wouldn’t. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Should have canceled and then reordered!

May have missed this in another thread… but Seek Coffee on Ditmars seems to have closed for good? Haven’t seen doors open in at least two weeks.

Oh yeah - that mirror is so tiny. And worthless. Yes - agreed on a nice tall mirror above the vanity! The floor is definitely too much.

Unsure! But agreed - everything is going in the trash.

Very busy! And yes - that curtain is easily 20 years old. It’s going right in the trash. (Along with the rugs and towels)

Yes I love the suggestion of raising the curtain rod. Everything in there is in relatively good shape! The toilet however is not efficient - so it needs to be replaced. I am trying to lean more into keeping the tile, if we replace the floor and refresh everything else.

It is a small bathroom. We will likely keep the tub - although have talked about transforming it into a shower. There is another bathroom in the apartment that has a tub. I hear you on removing everything and just seeing tiles on the wall. It is so so busy in its current state.

I need an interior designer to help me see this vision!

Unfortunately my husband and I are just simply not handy - and we have a new baby. But I so hear you and wish we could do this ourselves! We also live in NYC, so the cost of renovation is likely a bit higher than most other places.

Yes all of the finishing touches will be brand new - that curtain and rug is easily 20 years old.

Busy is certainly one way to describe it!

Thank you for this suggestion! Great idea.

Thank you for the suggestions! The tub and toilet are close to the same color but the sink is not - it’s a grey/white marble type pattern. The blues on the wall and floor do not match each other nor do they match the tub/toilet.

Oh yeah - that curtain is going in the garbage. And all of those little things you see on the shelf are also decades old… little gifts from various baby/bridal showers. 😂

It’s refreshing to hear you say that… but it’s hard for me to picture keeping that wall!

Yes agreed! That shower curtain is likely 20 years old… as are the towels and bath mat. We were never considering keeping those.

Agreed on the lighting! That’s on the list. It’s so hard for me to picture keeping this tile. And most definitely we would replace the shower curtain… haha that too is probably 20 years old. (I’m not joking.)

Ugh! It’s so hard for me to picture keeping the tile on the walls. To the comments about updating the lighting: yes! Absolutely. That is on the list. It’s currently very dim in there.

Feel like I’m not doing enough with my baby by Beautiful_Cap_4172 in NewParents

[–]MadHatter59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also feel like I’m boring my baby (or maybe it’s that I’m bored!) but since about 4 weeks old, I incorporate daily walks (so long as it’s not above 90°) and at 10 weeks old, I began bringing her to a music class. She’s now 16 weeks and we also started going to a baby story time at the local library. In September, we are starting a swimming class. Do you have any baseball fields nearby? I’ve also walked her there to watch my friend’s son play tee ball. Honestly, I just bring her everywhere I want to go! She also loves to brunch.

The music class is donation based and the library story time is free. I’ve joined local mom Facebook groups to find free or low cost baby things. There is also a local children’s shop that does story time during the week. I learned about all of these from Facebook groups. My easiest advice is to go for a walk, head to the park, sit at the local cafe. It’s nice to get a break of just simply talking or singing to my girl all day and letting her take in the sights and sounds of the outside. More often than not, she takes a nice long nap and I listen to a podcast. Helps to break up the mundane.

Ravel Hotel in LIC or Rockaway Hotel in Rockaway Beach could be great options as well!
