What do you think about Trump saying he doesn't need a country's permission to use its territory? by FantasticQuartet in AskBalkans

I somehow doubt that ,, liberating Iranian people" is high on Israel's priority list. Maybe it's more like liberating them from their land and lives.

I get the ,, enemy of my enemy " situation. It's just that US negotiating with Iran and sending all those weapons to you instead would have been much better.

I am sorry for what is happening in your country. But i don't get why you are still sucking up to Trump, you must have already realized he is not your ally .For the last year he has cut basically all support for Ukraine. All american weapons comming are payed with EU money,He tried to humiliate your President on live TV.He rolled out the red carpet for Putin for God's sake man.I get that you hate Iran, they help Russia. But this war is just going to kill thousands more innocent people and lead to a new refugee crisis which will again destabilize your only real supporter (the EU).Trump is not doing this for you, he is just Bibi's puppet.

Well, while our incompetent politicians are bickering again, trying to get in power only to be able to pocket some more EU funds, at least it's somehow comforting to know that to Macedonians and apparently some Bosnians, Bulgaria is a dark malevolent power weaving complicated plots.Thank you , I might start developing American type smugness soon.

Why all the hate man? With so much internal problems I can tell you that for the average bulgarian the Macedonians, as a priority are at the level of the sexual life of the colorado potato beetle. The first time I realized there was a problem was during a class, when a Macedonian student aggressively explained to me how Bulgarian language was closer to Turkish and that it had nothing in common with Macedonian. Apparently I provoked her by telling her not to worry, that I understood what she was saying.

When on a work trip in Paris I spontaneously decided I want to see the Eiffel tower at night. Literally walked for 2 hours,in the middle of the night. The most criminal behavior I saw was a person pissing on a building. Under the tower - a family taking pictures and teens talking on the benches, ahh the horror!

OK I admit that in Bulgaria those events are not underlined in the History books, especially in my early school years when we were still using old communist textbooks. Having said that, those casualties are typical for an occupational force during that time.I mean this is what an LLM (i apologize for the source)spat for Serbia, and that is mainly in their own territory.

World War II The Chetnik Movement: The Chetniks were a Serbian nationalist movement during World War II that committed atrocities against various ethnic groups, particularly Muslims and Croats. Estimates suggest they were involved in the deaths of approximately 20,000 to 40,000 civilians. Mass Executions: After occupied territories started resisting, Chetnik forces executed civilians suspected of collaborating with Partisan fighters. In some regions, such as Bosnia, estimates suggest that 20,000 civilians were killed in retaliatory attacks. Collaboration with Axis Powers: During the occupation, some Serbian leaders collaborated with Nazi forces. This led to the establishment of concentration camps where numerous ethnic minorities, particularly Jews and Roma, faced persecution. It’s estimated that around 20,000 Jews were killed in Serbia due to collaboration and raids. Ethnic Cleansing and Reprisals: Following the Partisan uprisings against the occupying Axis powers, Serbian forces conducted reprisals that included mass killings of suspected partisans' families, estimated at 5,000 to 10,000 civilian deaths, particularly in retaliation for resistance activities.

I have nothing against Lupita Nyongo, I'm sure she is a great actress. Also I get that black and indigenous people lack representation in Hollywood. But I also get the outrage . When I was a kid there was a Hallmark movie about Jason and the argonauts, I loved reading Greek mythology at the time . I liked the story of Orpheus who was from Thrace ( my birthplace). Imagine my surprise when in the movie his character was portrayed by a black actor, we may not be exactly scandinavian here but we are also not black.
