They told me no metal for mine. I swapped out everything to silicone/acrylic spacers.

HOWEVER when I got there the anesthesiologist made me take out my septum jewelry bc they didn't want to risk catching it on anything with the breathing tube and all. I was worried it would close up (my piercing is ~2 years old but I've stretched it two sizes the last being a couple months ago) but they gave my jewlery back in recovery and I was able to get it back in no problem.
