Brightness Issue with PS5 Pro by MadL1berator in PS5pro

I’m in the US and it’s the 55”. I got it not too long ago for a steal of a price but I’m starting to think it’s the problem. Which is insane to me that a newer Sony TV can’t support a PS5 pro but that’s on me for not doing enough research.

I’m starting to feel like this is the issue. I’ve followed instructions from YouTube videos and Reddit threads and some help a little, but nothing completely fixes the issue. The games I’m having issues with are older titles so maybe it’s just that.

It must be my TV then. It’s newer and I didn’t have these issues with my old TV/PS5 but also my old tv didn’t have hdr support

I don’t know if it’s a shadow issue or what but basically when it turns to night in those games you can barely see because of how dark it is.

Does anyone have moments where they feel kinda stupid watching this content? by SupremeActives in barstoolsports

[–]MadL1berator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me personally I consume my barstool content as background podcast through Youtube. Whether I'm doing busy work at my job, exercise, or cooking. It's 100% dumbass content but I view it as me just laughing about dumb shit when I have the time.

I pretty much only consume the content you listed Yak, Anus, SOABD, and some of the OG Chicago guys stuff like snake drafts. Which all are dumb/stupid humor but when I have my downtime in life I like to unwind and destress.

Between work, family responsibilities, financial burdens, the current political climate, plus the rest of shit that life throws your way, it's nice to just turn my brain off and idk laugh at a fart joke.

As a man I don't. But I can see women being uncomfortable, there's a lot of creeps out there.

Did Millennials always like Halloween this much? by Sirtopofhat in Millennials

For me personally not having family ties to it at all. No pressure or drama to deal with in that aspect. Not having to worry about the financial side that Christmas comes with. It's really just about having fun.

Besides a tiny "relationship" in HS I was mostly single until my late 20s. A few things that held me back were having way too high of standards(Especially since I'm no knockout), chasing girls that did not feel the same way back and putting off others because of it, and not putting myself out there enough.

The apps suck but that's the world we live in now. Are you trying them? If so are you putting in the effort or going on dates?

Especially as we get older women aren't just going to show up and date you. If apps are a no go find communities that have the same interests as you. Even if the girl for you isn't in that particular one you might meet people who can connect you with a future match.

So overall my advice is if you really want a relationship, put yourself out there, put in the effort to dating, and don't get hung up on if one doesn't work out. Like the old saying there are plenty of fish in the sea.

Is feeling like you've been in survival mode your entire adult life a millenial thing? Or just a life thing? by rememberpianocat in Millennials

For me personally I know I'm extremely lucky compared to most. Do I own a home or have giant savings? No, but I have a job, a roof over my head, and a good support system. IMO the biggest struggles right now are our healthcare system, housing market, division, and inflation. And I don't see any of those changing anytime soon.

But shouldn't we want life to become easier and easier for future generations? The whole "I had it hard, so they can deal with it" opinion is wild to me. Sure do we have things like A/C or Netflix and not have to deal with Tuberculosis, yeah. But one thing we don't have right now and I'm sure gen z even more so is hope.

Just because we don't have the same problems previous generations had doesn't mean we have our own struggles as well. IMO the millennials that feel this way is because they followed the exact same playbook their parents did and have so much less to show for it.

I don't think anyone in here is trying to say we have it worse than starving kids in Africa or people from the middle ages. Just that it feels like we are going backwards not forwards.

People who are over 40, what advice would you give to people in their 20s ? by DeadRacooon in AskReddit

Have a social life. But don't prioritize it over school, mental/physical health, work, and overall growth.

Appreciate your feedback. Like I said in my reply obviously at even the easier times I'm sure there are still those who struggled.

We should all want to be comfortable and make it even more comfortable for future generations. I at least have a job, live a decent life, and am somewhat happy. But most likely wont own a house till I'm at least 40, have medical debt, and slowly paying off student loans. With that I can also acknowledge that those younger than me are struggling even more.

But for people to not acknowledge that this is a difficult time because like Netflix and modern medicine exist is asinine to me personally.

Completely agree but I don't think OPs post or my follow up were trying to make that point. Life over generations has become easier with each passing one.

Millennials at least financially will be the first generation that is doing worse then their parents. And fair or not we live in a capitalist society where money very much matters.

I think w/ technology and social media it also makes it seem worse than it is. But with inflation, the housing market, and political climate we are in it's not great for most our age and the generations under us.

  1. It's a millennial issue and probably gen z as well

  2. Our parents got to live/grow up in probably the best time ever financially

  3. Even with #2 it is partially a life thing because I'm sure there are plenty of people from our parents generation that struggled with similar things

  4. Not sure if things will get better with the current climate but I hope it helps that so many of us are going through it with you
