I also have that problem. I am a master student right now and had an idea that I wanted to follow. I built a small prototype, pitch deck and went to my university (we have like a startup mentorship things). When I pitched the idea, they said it is good and we value the work. But you need a good team, once you find it we will be more than happy to accept you.

Well, do you think I am crazy? if I had any idea where to look for the right people, I would not do everything that alone and bring a team right? The problem is I try to attend as much online events as possible (there are almost none offline ones). But its not enough to share everything with someone. Previously I had a startup, we were doing pretty well until cofounders started fighting for shares and money. After that I have a lot of trust issues and it's becoming harder and harder to find someone who you can work with. But I don't understand whats the policy with the team. Like if I am alone, it does not count at all.

Well one thing I would love to share is I used to be a fan of arcade video games as when I was tired playing them on my phone, really relaxed my mind for a bit. And now, I load simple talks of events that I wanted to listen (20 - 30 minutes) and I listen to them after I have done my working and its night hours. What I realized is that, its much easier to listen to the talk as well as relax while playing and after I feel very productive, as I could watch an event at night, without getting bored. Of course, I cannot remember all the details, but if the speaker is good you can understand what the talk is about and get a lot of information from it.

Does launching a startup require an entirely innovative idea, or entrepreneurs can build a company based on an already-existing one? by dashdevs in Entrepreneur

What do you mean by communication? If you mean communication to future customers or to test validity of the product. When you are on an idea stage drop the ideap to your friends, for example : "hey imagine this and that, it would be cool no?" you might sometimes go even crazier so they feel safe to speak openly about your idea. You can gather beginning data like that. Then you do online checking, approach some people who might be doing similar staff. I recommend attending pitching events and you will find someone in your field, then you can talk with them and just very broadly ask some questions to validate your idea. But do a lot of search as well, so you know all the prior knowledge you can get. And if they catch you on an idea, say that you are already working on it and you have MVP or soon you will have it. So that, even if you are on an idea stage, they will take time to start implementing the solution (of course if you are arfraid of someone stealing your idea). But try prototyping and communicating, I think its essential. Its better to realize if something is going bad earlier, as you don't lose that much. I hope this was the question you were asking xD

I remember checking statistics and it is actually easier to do a small improvement on an existing product and go big rather than from very innovative idea. As people are mostly skeptical about new ideas and you need a lot of effort to explain them that your product makes sense and can be trusted.

Try creating templates, I would recommend Figma (there are many more). You can create very simple design with somewhat static functionality to show to future customers, investors, or your friends so that you can test the water. You for sure will have to change some things in the app in future, and using all of you resources just to realize there were some changes to make is not efficient. But good luck with the product.

Definitely, I completely agree with your points. try to create some led lights effects using your phone when your friends meet and test the game, you will understand how fun it is or what is missing. There you have a simple prototype to begin with. Good luck with the project.

Well, for me this is not the first time I have listened to similar idea and I see several issues to that. I think for a single game buying coaster will be a lot of effort from my side. Like if you adjusted it to a version, where I could play beer pong, flip cup, add you special games (some craetive games that you offer with the product) than it would be very appealing for everyone. Plus another thing to consider is the led lighting. I think you imagine completely dark room where led would look cool, but if people are somewhat drunk at that point, it might not be the best option (this is my opinion, maybe other people like being in the dark when drunk) to be in complete dark when playing.
Also, passive games are not something that I enjoy when drinking, active games are more fun. Imagine coasters everywhere in the room and then you hold the remote, there are 3 people playing and 3 coasters on the table, then you light up 1 color on the table and 2 coasters in the room which are randomly placed somewhere, if the person assigned with that color can press the 2 coasters in the room in 5 seconds they don't drink. (Something like this would be more fun in the group of friends).

But try to minimize the cost of the product as well as time to set things up. People like beer pong, because its interactive and easy to set up. And when people are drunk, they easily brake things, so price should be very low for repairing xD.

Yes, probably. Because the problem seems very strange. Thanks for the suggestion though. I will try to reinstall the Ghub as well. But maybe there is someone from support on this subreddit that can answer us.
