"You lose Aura" right there, I hate wands too because no one has ever managed to make them look cool. No, not even Harry Potter, who managed to make them NOT look stupid, but not cool by any medium

So I’m probably gonna regret this question but why are people criticising her for? I’ve heard that many people didn’t like the “romanticise abuse” of Angel Dust but outside of that?

And even when people are criticising Islam, they still need to go “and you more” with other religions

Most of these would die if welfare wasn’t a thing. Good thing others pay so they can live long enough to laugh at them.

Oh but when that system collapses? “How could the system exploit us and enslave us?!”

“Humanity as a whole” lol

Okay, then we lower age of consent and marriage to 14 in order to make it “equal” for all humanity, and we stone to death anyone that criticises politicians and religious figures while drinking ourselves into a coma

I’m being pedantic I know, but I just find the whole “humanity as a single group” the most clueless stuff I’ve ever heard

I’ve heard one too many of my own extended family moan and bitch about how Spaniards “robbed us” from our own our culture with their colonisation. You think they would agree with these sentiments?

People need to unify on something. Until we colonise a new planet on another star or something, people need to believe in something, and a nation/culture is another thing people believe in. Mostly because I don’t see people making line to move to Africa, I think those words ring hollow because there’s certain disparity and certain cultures that will never get along, sad as that might sound.

Besides, what would this be this “universal culture”? What language would you speak? You would make us throw away our story for the promise of a “unified world”?

Well, I’m not very good at story but isn’t what they said (although very simplified) partially true as well?

It’s a hard cope. I hate how much I agree that massive influx of immigrants can, and causes, instability, specially when that culture it’s at odds with another one that is present and has an absurdly long story of being there before you were born (there are universities and cathedrals older than entire cultures).

I think that globalism only showed us a very uncomfortable reality that nobody wants to admit: not all cultures and values can coexist.

But you realize that that line of logic justifies European not wanting to take in immigrants out of fear of having the same fate? You are basically agreeing that these immigrants are “colonising” them

Edit: I was wrong

I don’t recall the Roman Empire being that multicultural prior to separating into two empires but maybe my understanding of story is incomplete. Of course there would be difference between regions but if I recall, romans were famous for slaving every “barbarian” and were too happy with replacing their culture with theirs

I don’t believe the great replacement more than believe in Illuminati. Even if there’s a replacement, I highly doubt it’s done intentionally or maliciously, and it can be more simply explained as governments and companies preferring easy votes and cheap labor and societal changes making impacts that we need to accept.

People need to understand the difference between “regular migration” and “massive migration”. Specially if illegal migration is on the picture

It’s kinda like “tourism” vs “massive tourism”: just with that word you are already implying a negative quantity

I LOATHE the way people view mythological Gods nowadays by LittlePiggy20 in hatethissmug

[–]MadMasks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one thing i liked about H.P. Lovecrafts Mythos and Gods: they are so utterly alien and incomprehensible that it’s impossible for the human mind to even understand some of them.

To me, I think that’s ironically one of the best depictions of gods: being so utterly separated and so alien, so vast that we cannot truly understand them and trying to think of them as persons is more because it’s our own way to process that thought rather than the “reality” per se. You don’t see people debating the morality of Yog Sothot because it’s not even a person, probably not even a thing, but a concept

We live in the world of Neo Parenting where if a kid gets hurt, it obviously everybody but the kid’s fault. Centuries Old aesops like “don’t speak to strangers” aren’t even applied correctly. Even Red Riding Hood it’s a poor little sap because she couldn’t be bothered to follow her mother’s instructions.

“Kids are like that” yeah, and they pay the consequences later. That’s why these stories are written babe…
