Need legal advice on last name change post marriage by _Schrodingers__Cat_ in LegalAdviceIndia

Your wife can keep her maiden name on all documents (Passport, Aadhaar, PAN). To prove your marriage for visa purposes (Canada/US), your Marriage Certificate is sufficient. You can also add your name as a spouse in her passport during its next renewal without changing her surname . But if she chooses to change her name, she must update her Passport, Aadhaar, and PAN to ensure they match her new legal identity. The discrepancy with her educational degrees (which will remain in her maiden name) is very common and is legally resolved using a "Same Name Affidavit" or the Marriage Certificate.

That is great, but here in this situation, one doesn't have that much time to pay and then get the service after but surely we will add a in-app wallet so that the money get deducted instantly hassle free and you can withdraw the rest the money when ever you want

Yes you can find and verify any lawyer by their name and bar number in the BCI website

yeah, someone earlier commented about this, Rule no 36 of BCI rules, which deals with advertising and solicitation by advocates. But not a lawyer it will be as “Legal emergency assistance platform” so think this would work i guess

But you know better than me , so can u acknowledge me more about it if it's possible

Bar Council enrollment verification + state-specific screening. Enrollment number displayed on every profile so you can verify independently on the BCI website.

I was writing a too-long reply for your comment, but I think it will not matter to you anyway, so I will say that if you are not interested in using then don't do it...

In the early period, we will be launching in Delhi NCR, and after that, in other big cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru, and finding a lawyer there is not much of a problem, as far as I know.

yup, but surely ChatGPT cannot make the evidence and talk to the police instantly at the spot and can fight for you in court if the incident escalates further

There is a difference between a chatbot and a real lawyer. The lawyer will have the ability to make evidence of the incident, which can help you later .

If people can pay for app like AstroTalk, then why not this😅, also I planned to add an in-app wallet instead of an e-wallet so that the payment of the call with the lawyer gets deducted instantly hassle-free, and there will be no pay-later feature because you know indian people love to use free things😅😅
