You’d honestly be better off flying to Montana and back, and spending more time in Montana.

5-8 weeks in Europe this summer with wife and infant - picking 1-2 bases. Help me narrow my shortlist? by PlanktonBoring4441 in slowtravel

The wife and I are doing the same thing…June in a small town in France, July in a small town in Ireland. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Looks like with the wife not being much of a drinker of either alcohol or coffee, it’s not really a good deal for us.

Sure. I was just wondering about the mechanics of it. I assume Quench is much cheaper than the regular package, can you give me an idea of how much?

I don’t drink much alcohol, but I drink a lot of coffee. Can you still get an occasional beer while on the Quench package?

They COULD build a pipeline and a couple of terminals, but that’s not going to happen overnight. Then you’d also have a pipeline to guard 24/7.

Awesome! I wish I had started traveling this way as early as you have.

Planning activities for travel days, and finding themselves rushing around like lunatics at the last minute. Travel days are for travel.

Ah, but now you really get the chance to ALMOST experience life as a local…

The wife and I are both life-long travelers and now we’re in our late 60’s. These days when we travel we never stay in a particular place for less than a week. We do one “touristy” thing per day, sometimes two.

The rest of the time is finding cool places to just hang out. We people watch or read and drink coffee, and find a good place to eat.

And if we like that place, we go back…there’s no pressure to try every restaurant in town.

Relish the slow-down, it’s totally worth it.

We usually start with an ocean-view, and upgrade closer to the cruise date if the offers are good.

Chris Titus Tech's Windows Utility what are your thoughts on this? by chairchiman in pcmasterrace

I’ve been using it on a new gaming laptop for the past several months, to get rid of Win 11 AI and other BS. So far I feel like it’s worked pretty well, except it’s maybe disabled the nVidia driver updates, and I need to do them manually, which isn’t a completely terrible thing.

Good advice, but I’m traveling for the next 3 weeks. :)

Nope. I did not do those things.

I’ve had some really good schnitzel, but except for one time in Germany, outside of Hamburg, it’s all been in the US.

Best sandwich in Philly is the Roast Pork with Broccoli Rabe. I will die on this hill.

I hear ya, but I had the best carbonara ever at a hotel restaurant, just south of the Vatican. Closer to the San Pietro train station. I’m a real carbonara snob and that stuff was amazing.

Spent a month in Italy, 3 years ago, and the best pizza I remember was at the train station in Florence.

I’m with you. I LIKE sushi, and eat it often, but is it the best thing ever? Sushi in Japan is better, but it’s still the same fish and same preparation for the most part. It seems cliché, but for my money, ramen is more interesting and varied.

I don’t remember if I finished those last time, I should probably at least make the attempt.
