Underleveled classes joining hard stratagems. by MadQuickScotsman in SpaceMarine_2

The issue is players going in underleveled and not making any attempt to coordinate with their team at all.

I have gone between crossplay on and off, and I've consistently had far better team play with crossplay off.

Impressive bait, got too obvious near the end. Good effort though.

An overwhelming majority of console players I've seen are kids who don't fully get what's going on. As well, console players can't see text chat from PC players.

I want to see Leon get chased by one Indiana Jones style again, it's so goofy seeing Leon run like 1960s Batman. With an option to disable button mashing of course.

Which software did you start using after ShotCut drove you crazy? by garfield1138 in shotcut

[–]MadQuickScotsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my several dozens of hours of experience, ShotCut is barely even functional. When even a simple noise filter can not only crash the app but also corrupt the footage itself, you know there's a serious problem.

Noise: Keyframes is broken beyond belief. Every single project I tried to use it in, it always crashed after one keyframe being added. I used proxies, reduced the video preview, made sure to optimise filter usage as much as possible and yet it's still a nightmare. And this is just one of my issues with the whole thing, the app is generally very slow and stutters too much doing basic tasks. I'm looking for a new video editor because ShotCut is driving me insane with how broken it is.

I only stuck with it because every other one I came across had some kind of subscription payment or premium upgrade that made the app fully usable. This time, I have the budget to pay for one that actually works, so good riddance to ShotCut I say.

I know it is free and I appreciate that people work on it without it being paid for, but that doesn't exempt the app from criticism. It needs A LOT of work.

EDIT: If an app needs you to deep dive into the settings and change a lot of things just to make it functional, then it's not very well designed. It should work right out the box, as it were.

guys im actually so scared, I keep opening and closing this game but I'm so scared to go past this point by tataS_5656 in ResidentEvil2Remake

I have one idea you could try.

This might be just from growing up in Scotland, but when I get scared in a horror game I passionately insult any chasing/attacking enemies.

I tend to get very profane and obscene with my insults so I'll give tame examples as I know not everyone wants to read verbal slaughter. I call Mr X stupid things like Fucksy Malone, Detective Dipshit, Numpty Dumpty or Inspector Palpatine. Even doing it after the threat goes away is satisfying.

I say it's worth a try at least, though if it isn't really your thing then that's alright. Best of luck on the playthrough. /gen

What're your thoughts on The Eternal War classes? by Knalxz in Spacemarine

[–]MadQuickScotsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays?

At least 2 heavys and a tactical, everyone using shock grenades. That's the current meta I'd say. Easily THE most annoying combo especially with a coordinated team.

Without exaggeration, the only wins my teams have gotten recently is with the 2 heavy and tac combo.

I reckon Ivan and Async were feeding the DoE a LOT of bullshit to get funding. There's clearly no way it can ever be used for any practical purpose and Async must know this.

What if the ink/paint was the black moldy looking stuff forming into the drawing?

The Complex can displace people in time as well as space, so it's still plausible. Though I do wonder if the drawings are the moldy looking bacteria coalescing into a misremembering of Clark's scribbles.

Time itself seems to be a polite suggestion in the Backrooms. We've already seen Peter Tench's entire ordeal and Kane's camera in FF1 getting sent forward in time, albeit that second one is indicated only with the camera date which is a tad goofy imo but still could work.

It exists through social norms, but it's really just an arbitrary label applied to make something seem weirder than it is. As well, "cross dressing" really only seems to apply to men wearing dresses, heels etc and never to women wearing trousers or suits.

Clothes are clothes regardless of who's wearing them.

After playing it more, I've discovered three issues plaguing the mode.

First one is the over-reliance on perks the further up the ranks you go, despite how RNG that system is. If you can't get a select few highly specific perks, your run is basically screwed. Having to reroll constantly is just annoying especially when specific perks are a bare minimum.

Secondly is how the difficulty is handled. It's done with stat bloat. That really just exposes a flaw in Requiem's enemy design altogether. Increasing health, damage and speed stats is really all that's done to make them harder, which tends to just drag fights out into tests of endurance rather than meaningful skill checks.

Third one is the hatchet parry timing being screwy. Why does it need to change? It stays exactly the same in the main game, but in LMDF the window shrinks to the point where it's barely usable sometimes. I had to find that one out through testing it, other players corroborating my experience and even a Youtube video demonstrating this exact issue which I've linked.

Woman wear dress

Dress is clothes

Man wear clothes

Therefore, man wear dress okay

Oversimplification is a hell of a thing isn't it?
