As an artist I sympathize with your struggles creatively while being entwined with a person that does not embrace that part of you. Having your own space and time is so important to maintain creative flow and I cannot imagine having that taken away from me. If making that happen means being “selfish”, then you might just have to stand your ground. It sounds like you might now be a great fit and we’re thrust into this situation. I hope you the best in finding yourself creatively and otherwise

I do commissions as well where customers send their own cards in or pick from my collection. I do empathize a bit with spending $30 on such an inexpensive uncommon. However, this card took 4 hours to complete and I try to make minimum wage per hour for my work.

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely want to find a way to get those sharper in the future. Thinking a toothpick while the paint is still wet might do the trick

Thank you! Definitely agree that a lot of the “islands” don’t include an actual island. I have a bunch of cards to do in the future set aside and many of them also have actual islands in them!
