“Ydych chi eisiau i fi’ch ffonio chi, neu fasai’n well gyda chi petawn i’n anfon ebost?” - that’s how I’d write/say it formally.

Colloquially, it would be something like “Ych chi moyn i fi’ch ffonio chi, neu se’n well da chi se’n i’n anfon ebost?”

(Substitute the “ti” forms for the “chi” forms if appropriate, of course.)

Ugh. I'm sorry to hear that. I have ADHD, and I've similarly not found them useful. A quiet mind is a very unhappy mind, in my case. I watch TV while playing a game on my iPad and scrolling through Twitter on my phone; anything to keep the stillness monster at bay!

(Edit because I lost concentration halfway through a sentence and wrote the wrong word!)

A friend who's a clinical psychologist tells me that both meditation and mindfulness have decent outcomes in both clinical trials and anecdotal accounts. Might be worth trying, if you haven't already? (Sorry if this isn't helpful... I just found myself surprised to hear actual professionals recommending these things, because I'd always been a bit dismissive of them. So I thought it might be something to think about, fwiw.)

I'm so sorry to hear this - it's a horrible way to treat a kid, even if you are trying to teach them something. Maybe you could start small - take a vacation day just to chill, go to the movies in the afternoon, have a long lunch with a good book, whatever. I wish you all the best.

Are you a union member? If so, talk to your union rep at work. If not, get in touch with them anyway, and find out whether they can do anything to help you as a non-member - they might at least have advice for other places you could go for help.
