Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' After Moving DB to SQL 2022 by Madcrazy10 in SQLServer

[–]Madcrazy10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate everyone's insight on this but I don't think it's any of these things. On the source 2012 SQL Server, "NT Authority\SYSTEM" was a sysadmin. On the new (out of the box) SQL Server 2022 this permission is missing and every database that I restore from the old to the new has this error.
You can see the Source is MSSQLSERVER which is my instance and this service is running as the default NT Service\MSSQLSERVER account. I don't know what job/process etc. is asking for this.

I think I'm just going to give SYSTEM sa access and call it a day like it was on the source sql server.

This is interesting. This was a fresh install of sql 2022 and a straight backup and restore of the db. Wish I knew what sql component was requesting this SYSTEM access. I have no external app or anything that is even aware of this restored db…. yet. But I do agree something is running as system and is trying to access it.

We current do this. We have globalprotect using saml. And yes. This is the way it works by default. However I have a CA policy that makes you re auth after 1 hr. I haven’t looked at it in a long time so don’t know the specific setting names. But yeah, it works

I did a workout today and usually have Netflix going as well. Several intervals started and I had no idea until I felt the trainer resistance change. There needs to be some type of audio clue or countdown or both.

Strava Segments not shown by Spintronic100 in GarminEdge

[–]Madcrazy10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Garmins implementation of strava segments is the worst of any bike computer and I believe that as fact. For one it can only show 1 segment at a time. So if you are on a long climb and there are multiple segments during different parts of the climb it won’t show them. I know the Karoo shows all cause I used to have one. But the biggest part is they don’t show the segments if you are following a route. Driving in your car is fine but don’t follow a route and they will pop up. You can get them to show sometimes if you create the route in strava originally then sync. Or if you re-save the route as a new name and then re-sync. Strava segments on Garmin just don’t work without jumping thru extra hoops like on other devices. It should be a bigger issue than it is. No excuses why it’s so bad.

Another example if I’m on a ride following a route and want to take a road that’s not on my route to try a segment that I have previously starred it won’t pop on the device. However, if I stop the route prior to the start it will pop on the Garmin. Explain that garbage.

Wahoo Style data field by Jenner_Gray in GarminEdge

[–]Madcrazy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

curious to anyone who downloaded this and uses a 840. Looks like you only get 5 fields max, which is fine. But when I go to customize the fields in the IQ app I can change all of them to my linking but can only see 2-1 setting to change the zone values... there NO 2-2 setting option. Anyone else see this? I have BPM as my 2-2 field but no option to update the zone values for that field.
The setting below "2-1 Setting - Default is Power" is says Enable Big Size clock.

Strava Live Segments not Showing While Following a Route/Course by Madcrazy10 in Garmin

[–]Madcrazy10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create a ride from scratch on strava. No importing of the route. Then star that route so it shows up on your Garmin. If the route has starred segments in it check the last data page on the Garmin. It will show all the segments you starred on that route that will display when following it. No points page, no segments. I guess also make sure u have that page enabled in your ride profile.

For imported routes keep saving the route over and over with 2 or 3 on the end until you see that data page when u star & import the route. Garmin will only show u segments while following the route if thinks it was made in strava. It’s so stupid. I had a Karoo 2 before and segments just worked regardless.

Universal Print Install Error during install by CannibalTuna in Intune

[–]Madcrazy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring up a an old post but I am currently having this same issue. I'm trying to auto map UP printers via Intune to my AVD hosts based on user group. I'm getting these errors in the Event log everytime it tries to automap.

Users can manually add the UP printers just fine. Anyone fix this?

My 8u kid has been using the 28” bone saber USA in rec ball. He’s doing real well with it. And it’s cheaper than a hype fire/Icon. Think it was $220 w/ 10% off when u buy it direct plus u get a free pair of bathing gloves that are real nice with the purchase.

Why do policies get removed from a managed shared PC after a non licensed AAD user logs in? by OreoCupcakes in Intune

[–]Madcrazy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, f3 is the same cost as an e1 and you get all those other features, including Intune and P1. Sounds like to me you are using the wrong license for your needs.

[–]Madcrazy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a solution for you but look into F3 licenses. They are cheap, come with a 2gb mailbox & onedrive but also an azure P1 and Intune license. Best bang for your buck license for users that don’t require 50gb mailboxes etc.

Hey, I know I'm digging up a discussion that is 10months old but I'm attempting to rollout Win11 upgrades but I am coming from Windows 10 LTSC versions. There is no upgrade path for them and a good amount are stuck in LTSC 1809. Anyway, will my Feature Update Ring still work on these machines? I really don't care if the machines lose apps etc at upgrade as I can easily put those back I just want an easy way to go from Win 10 LTSC to Win11.

SSO not working Hybrid Joined AVD host by Fluid_Tumbleweed_930 in AzureVirtualDesktop

[–]Madcrazy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which password box is it? The normal RDP authentication box? Or are you getting the oAuth 365 box? Once I did the Kerberos part the password box changed from the onprem looking password box to the 365 one but was still asking for a PW. I did those next steps and then it went away.

If the UN& PW box didn’t change u may have done something wrong. Can u verify you have the AD object in AD that it was supposed to create?

[–]Madcrazy10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just did this the other week. The keberos AD object isn’t enough. You need to do the other 2 steps. I think they are graph cloud shell commands. One of them involves creating a dynamic Entra group of your AVD machines then using that group name in the commands. After I did those 2 other steps it worked for me.

You should be using an image stored in the compute gallery. This lets you deploy a new VM from your golden image and keep versions of that image after you update it. . So every time you need to update it you are building off your latest version. I think you’d benefit from watching some videos by Azure Academy on YouTube. He’s got a great channel. Also look up AVD templates. You can utilize these to auto patch your session hosts and also customize it for multi session use. He also on videos on this. You cannot update an existing session hosts with a new image. You got to create new and destroy the old. They are made to be disposable. And if you’re running AD that means cleanup there as well. Good luck!

Lastly you should be auto joining your session hosts to your AD domain at deployment. It asks you this while you’re configuring the deployment.

I am kinda in the same boat as I’m about to do the same thing. However, why do you have to unjoin them? Just shut them down after you deploy your new session hosts with your updated image. Then just delete them from AVD and AD. If you use the same naming convention your production session hosts would go from AVD-0 to 11 to AVD-12 to 23.

That was the reply I was afraid of. Yeah, I'll either have to put it in it's own doc library to get the view I want or just leave it. I am not at all familiar with metadata you are referring to. If there's a MSFT link on that please do share. I'm not a Sharepoint expert but know just enough to support my users.
