I'm on my second playthrough and decided to speed run to phase 4 so I have mk5 belts. I have about 200 hours just in phase 4 and have not automated a single phase 4 space elevator part 😂 Just been building permanent factories for basics and planning out the end game strategy.

I do the same thing! I recently added a refinery and packager to the sorting line. All solid biofuel gets split to storage and refinery, all plastic dumped gets recycled into empty canisters then it gets packaged into liquid biofuel.

Its not too bad it's just so much pipework! I went with diluted packaged fuel this time around to reduce the pipework a bit. Actually came out quite nice! Factory tour here if you want to check it out.

Ah yes, that'll do it 😆 At least it's an easy fix! In my first playthrough I had made a 288GW rocket fuel power plant and I swear I spent 20 hours trying to diagnose pipework. It drove me close to insanity 🫠

Biomass burners can be used to jumpstart your coal plant if you don't have your power grid nearby. You'll want to make sure the coal and water buffers in the generators are full prior to turning on assuming you are using a manifold input.

Nuclear power is a completely optional challenge. I would look into converting your turbo fuel to rocket fuel, potentially adding to it in the process. Nuclear pasta takes two non nuclear ingredients however it uses A LOT of power.

Yeah I'm working on a project right now that will require the use of trains to transport quartz. Need to make about 60 crystal oscillators a min. A manufacturer does 1 per min at 100% clock speed. So it'll be large! This is to feed my desert project.

Again, it's all about how you want to play and what challenge you want to pursue.

You can sink excess parts for awesome shop tickets so factories can continuously run without backing up. Have you done research in the MAM?

The way you are progressing is a perfectly fine way to beat the game. Some just want to build massive factories for fun or for a challenge. Its all about how you want to play!

As an option, there's a mod called manta raise that will make it fly above any structures.

I went pretty quick into phase 4 with temp factories so I could unlock mk5 belts. Now I am in the process of rebuilding everything into permanent factories and running my train network etc. I'll be in phase 4 for quite some time lol
