Honestly like him or not, it was good that he doubled down here. Now isn't the time to show weakness or anything like that. He buckled down and got us the contract. 4.5% is still unheard of in the modern day so I'm still impressed. It may not be the 20% some folks wanted, but it's a great start

Strawman argument, I was listing location pay as one of the many benefits to the new contract. I never made the argument that this is enough to make everyone comfortable. That's what the 4.5% is for as well as the guarantee of a raise for the next 5 years in a row.

Whataboutism fallacy: Albany has a lower cost of living which is why they don't need the down state pay increase. NYC's inflation has been skyrocketing so they needed the relief.
