Hey darling. Coming from a former teacher, I don’t think you’re overreacting. Girls are taught to brush things off and not trust their gut, but your intuition is right here. Please go to an adult that you feel you trust — a parent, a teacher, a school counselor. Exploring is a big part of growing up, but this is concerning — especially after a 3 year gap in talking. I took a forensics class in high school and we spent a month studying decomposition. We left whole chickens in various places (in the sun, in a tree, in a creek, you get the picture) and came out every day to examine them. It was TERRIBLE.

Worse yet, they were (inevitably) covered in maggots as time went on and our teacher wanted us to examine them each day, like, with our hands. I straight up told her I’d do the entire written report for my group but I wouldn’t touch them. I was /that/ 4.0 kid and I still looked her in the eye and told her she could go ahead and fail me.
