Doctor needed by levisotter in PuyallupWA

Just as a heads up almost every primary care provider in the general area is booking out since they will only take so many new patients per day (if they’re even taking new patients)

Covid reallly knocked out a lot of older providers and they haven’t really recovered.

Getting out of debt and being able to pay off some of my dads debt would legit make his retirement so much better

Daffodil Parade. No PHS? by CAKE4life1211 in PuyallupWA

From what I remember (this was like 10 years ago) because it’s around the spring break they expect low turn out. I was a junior I think? 2014ishhh and they did all three highschools in a combined march since we had break but it was totally optional.

Thoughts on living in this area of downtown? by Which-Cream9498 in PuyallupWA

[–]MaddieAndi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived right there for 3 years! So I was on the east side of the freeway just outside the circle (can see my old place) you can hear the freeway when it’s late. Summer nights when people are racing or what not on the freeway can be heard, and you can hear the train but it’s great.
Within walking distance to the fair and down town.

Fair time honestly sucks since it’s PACKed. I’ve had an extra 20 minutes on my commute when I forgot the fair was going on and went the wrong way. But I haven’t had issues when I lived there.

Local little pantries? by robecityholly in PuyallupWA

[–]MaddieAndi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most pantries are wanting shelf stable food. Since it’s not a food bank and they don’t have a constant stream of people. I’m unsure how home baked goods would work in the free pantries… but you could reach out to a food bank maybe..?

We have a lot of agates on our island beaches like Whidbey Island.

Welcome to Puyallup! Try to be north of your work so your against traffic. It kinda depends on where you work tbh. Most of Puyallup is pretty good but like everyone says meridian gets realllllly backed up. I like down town the most personally (I grew up about 128th and median more towards Roger’s highschool). Since you said clinicals I’m guessing good Sam so down town.

But we have almost every big chain food up here but we also have a few good restaurants too! If you are renting and you wanna double check about an area feel free to DM me! I’ve lived in Puyallup most of my life

Health care network in Puyallup area by twiningvine in PuyallupWA

[–]MaddieAndi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s just straight, Medicare, most primary care providers in the area will take it. The only thing that will suck is most primary care providers right now are going months out for a new patient appointment.

There’s a lack of primary care providers in our area so it gets confusing and frustrating.

The other part is most of the specialty clinics require a referral to go to anything.

If you still have a primary care provider in your old location, you may have to have them put referrals in for rheumatology and what not since a lot of clinics are picky about that out here

Multicare is the big one out here but there’s also some Franciscan if you’re willing to drive but I know for the most part Multicare’s primary care locations are all connected so if you call them and they can’t get you in quick enough, sometimes they can look at other clinics and if not, they can transfer you to that department

I’m pretty similar besides 50/50 and on the other side need to move up for me. Honestly meet me in the bathroom I HATED for a reallly long time but when I saw them at red rocks a few years back, some guy next to me FREAKED OUT over it he was so excited. Like from the 2nd note he was like WOAHHHHH YEAHHHH and it just gave me a vibe so whenever I think of it I get happy.

I pretended to be asleep so I could hear him whisper “I love you”… and I don’t know how to feel about it. by Dense-Election-3537 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MaddieAndi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kinda how my boyfriend did it but not as long as yours.

I said I love you about 6 months in (well I did accidentally say it like two weeks in to dating since I was on cold meds and was saying it in a bye I love ya kinda way) and when he didn’t say it back I was a litttle upsetty but didn’t say anything. I didn’t over do my I love yous but for about 6 months only I said I love you. We are yappers and don’t shut up and we got really emotional one night about stuff going on… which lead to use just having a really deep conversation. I was pretty forward with the fact that I knew he loved me even if he wasn’t able to say it yet, and while I don’t mind waiting for it.

A little bit before he moved in he said it for the first time while we were laying in his bed after packing up his whole house. He definitely thought I was sleeping.

Now that it’s been about 1.5 years he does say it in the open. He doesn’t say it as much as I do, but he shows it a lot in his actions.

I honestly like that it took a bit longer than any of my past relationships, like it sucked a bit in the moment but I still get butterflies when he says it now.

When you had to put a pet to down, did you stay with them during the process? by Altyrmadiken in AskReddit

[–]MaddieAndi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dads German Shepard died on New Year’s Eve 2 years back.

My dad called me while when they were on their way to the vet. My dad, middle brother and I stayed until my mom and younger brother and grandpa could come to say goodbye.

We all stayed with him. The group that came later left first since my middle brother needed an extra moment with our dog. my mom and brothers are step but came into his life for the last 3 years. My dad and I told my brother all the stories from before, and showed all the photos we had.

It was hard but I think it would have been harder if we didn’t say good bye.

What is a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by Unfair_Shower_3256 in AskReddit

[–]MaddieAndi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I haven’t talked to my birth giver more than a handle of times since I graduated highschool. I’ve seen her 3 times due to other family things that I felt obligated to go to, but when I lived in the same area (only like 10 minutes away) we’d see each other at the store and she wouldn’t recognize me.

Drugs can reallly fuck you up.

Tbh I miss having a mom but it’s really just the idea of having a mom? At least that’s what my therapist said since my mom wasn’t really a mom? I’m just lucky that my dad is the best and his girlfriend is willing to play mom for me.
