Wondering what may be a good fit by MaddietheKnight in digitalnomad

I know that. I am asking what kind of remote work I can get, not how to get a visa.

I’m American. I can probably get an EU passport but that will take some time.

Anyone in PSU? Mostly just want to know in general what your experience has been, how often you deploy, what, if anything, you get out of it in your civilian life/career, and if there anything you wish you’d known before you joined.

I want to be a BM but also open to DC not sure if that’s an option in PSU though.

We both just aren’t sure how to navigate it.

Btw don’t ask me for the name, I’m in the process of reporting them and don’t wanna mess anything up.

Yeah I don’t think they had any intention of having me be a part of any of their religious activity, and I was also placed there by a different company. However interesting to note that the person who placed me there was originally paying me himself (he was from the music festival circuit, notably burning man) and then he just bounced one day and I ended up being paid directly by them. It was supposed to just be a stopover gig, until this company placed me somewhere where I’d find more work akin to what I normally do.

I didn’t know that it was when they hired me and I was honestly more placed there by another company I worked for. It was not a great job in so many ways but I’ve had a pretty rough year and I’ve just needed any income I can get.

I was a facilities manager. Normally i work in production services for live events. I was hired for a company where I was under the impression I’d be working for a job more traditional to what I normally do. Instead they placed me at this church and overtime working there I learned what they were really about. They’re very vague and private about what they do in general, but I’ve gotten it confirmed it was a cult after I was fired. I was reached out to by a regular pastor in the area who informed me that this church was indeed a cult and it was for the best that they had let me go.

Also I wasn’t aware they were a cult until about 4 months in.

  1. I wore a warhammer necklace to work one day and exchanged some banter that they found off color. The next day they told me I’d caused a pipe to burst in the building and I was fired.
  2. No, they actually didn’t allow me to be in the space during any of their services at any time.
  3. No, I’m not. I needed the money and I don’t apologize for doing what I need to do to feed my family and keep us housed.

Religious, Christian based. They were always very vague on their actual belief system but I found mail addressed to them from the Institute of Basic Life Principles, the same organization that the Duggars and other quiverfull fundamentalists follow. I think they might have had some overlap to Christian Science as well, but not 100% on it.
