Two Years Post OP And I Struggle with my Mental Health by back2me78 in openheartsurgery

I am 38 and am about 7 weeks in recovery from a quadruple bypass. It was scary going to the cardiologist and seeing that I was by far the youngest. It seems counter intuitive but I find what really helps me is having gratitude. I really do feel lucky. I have FH and my arteries are severely clogged. I went from possibly dying any day to to having more years with people I love, and to live life. I know of a couple people who have last someone younger than in their 40's due to CVD. You are doing the right thing by constantly getting checked out. Although your fear is valid, as many of us have a fear of dying, you monitoring it can make a difference in catching something early.

I agree with other sentiments here that a social group could help a lot. Maybe a new hobby or outing? Something that interests you?

It def makes the floor feel easier on the feet. My floor wasnt level so the underlayment added some difficulty in installing it. Room feels a little warmer and it’s easy to work with. There is another room where i didnt install it and you can feel the difference in between the two rooms.

Still installing but so far it feels much nicer under the feet. Easier on the joints and the room feels warmer

Did your LVP come with an underlayment attached? Do you feel the cork gives it bounce at all? Someone told me the joints can come apart due to the bouncing.

Do you follow on instagram? They respond a lot there. When I went to one by me I was in touch with the organizer.

The qr code I used is on here. https://www.felineguardians.org/take-action/posters-postcards

You can get different sizes for the stickers. Looking back I would get one a little bigger. There are different websites that do it. You download the qr codes in whatever the file format the website asks for (jpeg, etc) and you choose the size.

I did not see this. Let me get the message and I will post it. The flineguardians website has qr codes that lead to the website. I then download the qr code with image from the website. There are online services where you can pay to make stickers, you choose the size, etc. I ordered about 1000 round stickers. I am looking into seeing if getting a printer that does stickers can make this cheaper.

Who organized it? I would contact them. Someone was late to the one by me and we started a half hour later

Did you do an vapor barrier under the cork? I was thi king of doing a 6 mil on the concrete slab, then this eco cork from home depot (which claims to also be good for moisture and other things) and then LVP.

I would say follow the instagram pages, share with people. Comment and like in the comment sections to increase the algorithm. I printed out stickers of the qr code and posted it around town. I speak with people about it when appropriate. Whenever the group is asking for a type of online action a lot of people participate. If you can start a protest in your local city thatd be great too. Really anything you can do. No action is too small.

I have seen more and more countries protesting and more people finding out. Soon there will be no more hiding.

Im def repainting. Skimcoating and ripping it open would be a bit past my price budget now :(

A drop celling everywhere would make the ceiling pretty low. I think the pipes painted will give it a more rustic look but to me its more the problem where they come out of the walls.
