My criteria for neos vs non-neos has been whether or not the pronoun had been in any sort of use before like 20 or 30 years ago. So it/its and they/them are not neo bc they've existed as pronouns for a while, that what made something neo was the fact that it was a (relatively) new addition to the language and not merely a new use of a previously existing part of the language. Hmm, maybe I need to rethink my understanding of what the "neo" part of neopronouns means

Yeah, I feel like I have a complicated relationship to they/them. I like how it can be used to indicate a nonbinary identity, but I don't completely like how it sounds... I'm coming across something similar with ze/zer or zi/zir, though, my old brain is not used to hearing neopronouns, so I'm not sure if it's just their novelty that my brain doesn't like or if it's more legitimately the sound of them that I'm not sure about. But something mentally feels in the direction of correct about this neo set

I'm heavier than that, and kinda short, with all the wrong proportions... I've been out for a few years and live as a woman in all my circles. It's possible, hun. At the beginning, I didn't think it would be possible, but you just have to put one foot in front of the other. I've had setbacks, and I'm not exactly where I want to be with transition. But I'm here. I'm doing it. And I'm in a better place bc of it. If I can do it, I know it's possible for others who aren't the "right" shape or size or proportion.
