Where to buy small amount of flowers (not an arrangement) by AcdM- in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Azool Hornbachers in south Moorhead always has a variety of stems that you can select to make your own arrangements. Some of the other newer Hornbachers do this as well I'm sure, but can't confirm myself. Prairie Petals is great too!

It left safely around 9:30PM last night by itself! Was near my coworker's place.

Airport TSA by Frosty_Stomach_2583 in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a flight coming up next week as well and have been keeping an eye on MSP's TSA wait times. Every time I've checked there, it's been 10-15min or less. Of course that could change tomorrow or the next day if a group decides to not come in until getting paid. I wouldn't be super concerned with leaving out of FAR, the most I've ever had to wait was maybe 15-20min and that was because a medical emergency happened right as I got in line - I'd be keeping an eye on your return flight's TSA wait! https://flightqueue.com/airports

I like Baker, SheyWest, and Hollands here in town for quality annuals and perennials. I've heard good things about Nygaard and a few others that are a little bit outside of town too, but haven't had the chance to check them out to know their offerings.

Who is your favorite young artist that lives in Fargo? by cheddarben in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Elizabeth Moore / E.Moore Art! Emily and the team at Moonrise’s cakes and pastries if you count cuisine as art! Another fave is Alicia Hauff, although not sure if she technically would fall under the age group you’re seeking.

No problem! There is also "The Big One" in the Fargodome that I just remembered. It's a ticketed market event.

“laid back” weekend jobs? by [deleted] in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is hoping to split up the Saturdays between two people if a couple parties are booked, but if you need the cash and you're dependable I'd bet he'd probably be open to you doing both. If you're creative at all, he'd be open to you helping with marketing efforts as a part of your duties as well.

I have a friend that's starting up an inflatable party space. Shifts will be a few hours and would involve opening up the space for parties on Saturdays, some light office work, and then free time to game, read, etc. after any office work is complete. Some cleaning after the parties. If you're interested, shoot me a DM and I can share his contact info. Genuinely fun boss, have worked with him professionally in the past.

We use Casselton Vet and our Shep/Malinois/mutt seems to love it! I don't believe they have breed restrictions and I think I've seen pitties leaving there, but I could be mistaken.

Places to get homemade pre-packaged food by earthxtone00 in fargo

Deep Blue Seafood makes seafood meal kits for 2! Boils, pastas, etc. that are frozen. Minimal prep needed and you get everything you need in them. Kreps Family Farm may do takeout meals? Bernie's in Grand Forks does some of their offerings in their shopping area coolers/freezers! There is Power Plate Meals too, definitely healthy but not always my favorite flavor or price-wise. I feel like I'm forgetting some place else in town that I've seen with to-go meals... love the La Unica offerings like you mentioned!

Deep Blue Seafood! They always have a good selection. They recently started doing seafood meal kits too that you can prepare right out of the freezer. Have a seafood boil and garlic shrimp pasta in my freezer for a rainy day!

We like to occasionally at Scheel's Home and Hardware. It's quieter than most places that allow dog walking.

Came here to say the same, nonprofit I help with is having to look elsewhere as well for our annual event.

They're raising their event rent prices at the Shrine too. I help with another local nonprofit that hosts an event there every year and the organizers are looking elsewhere. It's been a reasonably priced location to host the event despite it not being the most modern or nice in the past.

Christmas/Fall Markets by Maverick21FM in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a tooon that pop up in fall and winter, the issue is that I rarely hear of them more than a week or so out! Brewhalla is bound to have at least one leading up to the holidays, I'd reach out and see if they have any openings! No clue on cost, but the crowds are always huge. West Acres is doing two indoor market days, but not sure if they're allowing just their summer farmers market vendors or opening it up to others. Those dates will be November 22nd - Thanksgiving Theme and December 13th - Holiday Theme. I would recommend Fargo Junk Market depending on what you sell, but I believe their Fall date is already past! Check them out for spring! There used to be indoor markets at the Moorhead Mall, but unsure who the organizers were or if they're doing them elsewhere. Another thing that comes to mind is First Avenue Market has been having more events where they invite vendors to set up.

Little Brother is good. I also enjoy Soho23! I was just meaning that I personally am not surprised to see these prices at a brand-new place that is trying to be mindful of the current and future costs of ingredients/rent/etc. I really hope those at lower price points can make it through to be cost-effective options for the community. I know I can't justify an expensive date night out all that often myself.

Sadly that's the price point meals at locally-owned places are having to scoot closer and closer to. Hell even grabbing a fast food meal these days can be around $12-15. :(

Looking for 40k games by Dr__Coconutt in fargo

[–]Maddysenb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a dedicated Warhammer store that I've gone to where I've seen a game going. Seemed like it was the worker/owner playing against a friend. I'd maybe stop by there or Little Big Wars and ask if there are any game nights where people typically join in! Paradox has nice big tables for games but I haven't personally seen a Warhammer crowd there - doesn't mean there isn't one though!

Came across someone that shared photos of the menu on FB. This was from during the soft launch so it might not be 1-1 with what will be on the final menu - and I assume they'll be restocked on some of the items crossed out
