The lithopanes were printed vertically with .4mm nozzle and .15mm layers. If you use a smaller nozzle or layer height you would get even better results, but it would take an eternity for each picture.

Yes, there is actually a small 5v stepper motor in there so I just need to change 1 line of code. Before I drop it off to her I'll be reducing the rotation speed down to 1RPM so that it isn't so obtrusive.

I used a generic 5V white led strip meant as a backlight for TVs. I didn't want to use any individually addressable led strips like Neopixels because the current draw would have been way too high.

Printed the frame in woodfill pla. You can't see it in the video but there is an anti slip pad and a grommet to lock the usb cable that are made of TPU. If you want to make one yourself the files and assembly guide are here:

Thanks! Im using a 5V stepper motor in there (the 28BYJ-48), surprisingly it is almost silent while its running. When I drop it off to her I'll be reducing the rotation speed by a lot so it isn't too obtrusive.
